Please, let the brand die already, dont make any new stuff.
Everytime in the last 15 years whn something with a Xenomorph in it came to cinema or the the gamestations, it sucked incredible. I love the franchise, Aliens is one of my favourite movies of all time, but the last time was disastrous.

They probably aren't connected, they kept telling everyone it wasn't a prequel, although the script might have started off that way.

I heard that the Xenos are the natural form, the original animal, like they would run on their homeplanet. At one point, they were are harvested and after bio-engeneering and genetical modifications, they have a alternated lifecycle and be like the the Deacon from Prometheus. Its like they said in the movie, its a bio-weapon. And its new lifecycle is more effecienter like one of an ordinary Xenomorph.

I dont have the source to this anymore, but I am pretty sure, that this is not just a fan theory or something like this.

Kotaku has an article up with more, rumored, details.

According to our source, the protagonist of Alien: Isolation is Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, the character that made Sigourney Weaver famous and kicked off the ubiquitous sci-fi franchise over 30 years ago. Amanda, who is mentioned in the special edition of Aliens as having died while Ellen was frozen in space, has not yet been the focus of any books, movies, or games in the Alien extended universe.

You, as Amanda, spend most if not all of the game on a single space station, according to our source. There's only one alien for "most" of the game, our source said; you'll mostly be shooting through "clones and soldiers." Vents, lockers, and melee weapons are a big part of Isolation, our source said, and the game is heavily inspired by the first Alien movie.P

They had me up until the bit about "clones and soldiers". Though just having that one Alien stalking about as a third party could make those encounters more interesting...

Gen X

Trust no one. Eat steaks.
Someone should take the 'Sonic Cycle' image and replace Sonic with Alien.

I use the Sonic Cycle all the time on another message board but damn you're right, the Alien one would fit. I'll see if I can whip one up when I get home if I am not beaten to it.

Well, the story looks good.

Fuck canon, right?

Still, I'll give it a shot if it gets the vibe right.
