A few questions, sorry if they've been asked before:
1. What are some interesting people to follow? Is there a list of NNIDs of developers and journalists somewhere?
2. I thought there was supposed to be a community for every game, not just nintendo games. Or is that only on Wii U? Where's my Virtue's Last Reward discussion community?
3. Is suspending a game the only way to include a screenshot in a post? Or is there a way to save (multiple) screenshots independent from miiverse, and then include them in miiverse posts whenever I want later.
Thanks in advance!
1) It's worth saying, Miiverse isn't exactly like twitter where every joe can just get away with making witty short messages. It depends entirely on people actually being active (and a lot of Miiverse users have busts of activity then breaks) So following that one journo who makes really cool tweets does not entirely translate to a Miiverse they use a lot. There is also a limit on how many people can follow you (1000 followers, 100 friends)
It also depends on what your hoping to get out of Miiverse, some people like to natter, others love to doodle. I personally like to follow other artists because I like to see peoples work, but that might not ring true for everyone
Generally Sakurai makes a daily post in the smash community with an "image of the day" thing from Smash, devs can also post in their own game communities too, though mostly it's for patch reports or announcing dlc ect.
2) Nintendo did state that many games would be without a community at launch. The current 3DS Miiverse line up pretty much consists of the most popular retail titles of all time for the system and recent releases. There's nothing to stop Nintendo retroactively adding communities, as pretty sure they did this for a few Wii U games, but generally the rule of thumb should theoretically be that every retail and e-shop release from now on will certainly have communities from release day.
Generally a good way to gauge opinion and get Nintendo's attention is to complain on Miiverse. They may add older games anyway, but generally making a small fuss does seem to get their attention
3) Presently yes it seems if you want to post images from your games, you gotta suspend. Unlike sendnote you can't just take a snap of your game and then choose the image later. This seems to be a preventative measure to avoid the problems swapnote had
