They have to take something out to cut some of the price. They won't take out Kinect, the HDD is required so what else is there? The BD drive.

The BD drive is one of the cheaper components... not to mention DD with these file sizes would require a far larger HDD. I don't see that happening, and if it does it will backfire on MS, again most people still buy digital. It will eventually shift just not yet.

No one is saying Sony doesn't release sequels, it's just that they also release a ton of new IPs to go along with them

The leaks just confirm MS is as dead set as ever on the usual Halo/Gears/Fable/Forza cycle

Crimson Dragon is also a new ip. Ryse and TitanFall as well but people disregard it just because its not 1st. Gears at one point was not 1st party either. Also Phil already said in addition to QB,SO and Lionhead new ip that there are more unannounced new ips.

What did frankie say? I recall seeing some stuff on twitter that said "you'll get halo in 2014" but it never said 5.

A bunch of release dates and confirmation of Horizon 2 and Crackdown 3 aren't exactly amazing revelations.

If that's all E3 was planned to consist of MS would be roasted over the coals.. I'm sure they'll have more to show.

I completely disagree. A quick Nintendo Direct style event would generate far more buzz and sites reporting on it than this rumor thread.

This "leak" will probably reach other large websites. It's a much cheaper strategy and the current trend of marketing.

frankie lied about things before though. he probably wanted to surprise people. The last thing MS wants is a rushed Halo game.

No it doesn't.

ODST (September 2009) came with Reach Beta which launched September 2010. The Beta was in May '10 if memory serves.
