Game Informer played through MGS Ground Zeroes' main mission in [1.5hrs, not rushing]

I really wish this game was 20€ on a PS4/Xbone digital download instead of 30€. I would never pay a full price of 40€ for the physical copy, that's just crazy if it's that short.

I think they should have at least tried to pack in some of the Japan LE stuff into the SE US considering I read a bit ago on here the SE is cheaper in japan retail. Maybe throw in that reversible sleeve, make the exclusive contents available to both platforms somehow, a new trailer for TPP via MGS Saga VOL. 3 bluray with GZ 'Making of' docu., MGO beta or at least an advanced invite kind of like with MGS4.I think you had to wait a few months to even redeem the code for the mgo2 beta and that would work fine for mgo3 considering its still being worked on. Ah well I know it all sounds really dumb and its too late since it launches next month. Oh well... A guy can dream :)

It is over priced, but not so much for last gen copies, IMO.

If the GI video and the TGS 2013 playthrough are anything to go by, I know that I'm personally going to get a lot out of it for £23.

Hmmm. It's tricky, isn't it? On one hand, 1.5 hrs for ONE mission (out of 6) is disappointing in relation to the cost; on the other, the sandbox nature of it means there are going to be a lot systems to fuck around with. If I don't cancel my preorder, I'm supporting a pricing model that I wouldn't want repeated; yet, I honestly think I might just get my money's worth from it.

It's a tough call.

Yeah, but I think the threatening has less to do with them being mean and more to do with lack of resources to make TPP sooner.

A kickstarter would have been so much better and wouldnt have that taste of bad marketing. If they want to fund the project there are other ways. But ists Konami, so that was about to be expected. I wonder what they have in plan for PES15 on next gen.

Yeah, that was awesome. And sadly MGS4 had almost none of that. Almost no optional codec calls (in comparison to MGS2+MGS3). MGS3 was crazy on that topic, codec calls on every animal and all other shit. And that was a 9GB DVD. :/

MGS3 was actually just a standard DVD--- 4.7GB.

I love that quote lol.

V will be better than MGS1, but worse than MGS3.

I can live with that.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
So this is still, how much exactly on PS4?

For me the more diverse and vast landscapes they put in the series, the more diluted it becomes.

One focused military base in MGS1 > all.

Will wait for the limited edition of phantom pain which will no doubt include this. Or at least wait till phantom pain is out so i can grab this for £10 and play the whole game at once

I was waiting on a PS4 for this...but I don't know of I could/can justify 400+ dollars for a game that is only 5 hours or so in length....

Ib4 other games cause I know there is (TR:DE and Order 1866 come to mind immediately) but MGSV:GZ was originally gonna be my springboard into the next gen.....I might wait It out now and wait for the full MGSV:TPP instead....

at last, for christ's sake
I really wish those interested in it will wait for a massive bargain price because honestly guys, this is just fucking ridiculous

Back in the PS2 days you got these things for free. Hell, MGS2's tanker level was about the same length and that was epic.

30$ for 2-4 hours of entertainment is good enough for me. If I go to a restaurant and get a beer I'll spend more.
I actually wish more games were shorter and cheaper. I hate bloated games.

Is this like steam early release where you pay 40 for the mission then get the full game when it comes out for no additional fee?

No and nope. This is the deal where you pay $40 for GZ, and $60 for TPP, totaling $100 if you decide to buy GZ now (If you buy PS4/XBONE physical).

Bad analogy. Normally you get a pint of beer in any pub or restaurant and not a quarter of if for the same price.

That GI video is so awesome. It should be required watching for everyone in this thread.

I was cracking up when one described how he rescued Paz by just driving a truck into the base, shooting everyone, dumping her body into the passenger seat. As he was driving to the helipad a tank shot his truck, it caught fire, he jumped out but the truck kept going with paz in it down a hill and he had to run after it to jump on and throw out Paz!

Another guy found the main power generator for the base and shut off the power. Made sneaking so much easier.

They are GUSHING over this game. Says everyone needs to forget the length and just focus on how amazing the gameplay is and how you will want to try to play this a ton of different ways. They say its the best MGS gameplay by far.

My hype is through the roof.

It does sound good. And I'm sure I would be gushing about it too if I didn't have to pay for it.

Seems like a great demo. Doesn't seem like a $40 purchase. That's what most people here are saying. I don't think anyone is questioning the quality.

I agree with others saying this should have been packed with LoS 2. I'm sure its already been printed or close to being so though. If anything they could reduce the price, hope thats not set in stone.

A huge company like Konami trying to use kick starter to fund a sequel to their biggest ip would have gone over like a lead balloon. Sorry but I'm not buying them playing the poor card. This is their biggest franchise. If they can't figure out how to get a Metal Gear game out without resorting to shameful nickel and dime tactics like this then they've got bigger things to worry about.
