Honestly, I'm starting to agree with ponpo on this. Sure, it may not be called Xtreme Beach Volleyball anymore... but at the end of the day, it's what you'll likely be expected to spend the vast, vast majority of your time doing (as in tens/hundreds of hours), in order to actually buy the swimsuits.

Like the previous games, there will likely be one gravure scene, per timeslot per location for each girl... lasting about 30 seconds each. There's simply not likely to be enough of that to justify the way it's being presented (as if the entire game contained an endless supply of such content or something). The game is very close to launch, and we shouldn't still be wondering if the volleyball has changed at all, or what the rock climbing minigame actual entails from a gameplay standpoint etc. It's getting a bit ridiculous at this point imo.

It's not like I'm setting an incredibly high bar or anything. I liked the volleyball in DOAX1, thought it was a bit shit in DOAX2 (though much of that was to do with it being 30fps), and expect it to be decent enough in this... but I just think we should be seeing more than just the gravure scenes at this point, because regardless of them being a large selling point for the game, the customization for them is going to be placed behind a LOT of volleyball (unlike you consider yourself very lucky at the casino). Honestly, I think someone with my expectations (having played multiple hundred hours in both prior games) is far less likely to be disappointed with the game than someone that legitimately isn't interested in playing volleyball. They're likely to drop the cash on it, only to find that all the unique scenes add up to maybe 20 minutes of unique footage, and to even customise those scenes, they'll be playing volleyball for a ratio of 20:1 versus the gravure stuff, just to get their character wearing what they want.
