I remember watching this live. Everyone loves those big moments, those moments that change the game, when the seemingly impossible becomes reality, the moments of brilliance that you know they'll talk about for years to come. It might not have been a joyous moment (especially for the French) but I'm sure even 50 years from now, they'll still talk about this one.
The moment one of the games greatest completely lost his shit. Initially there was confusion as it appeared off the ball, so TV viewers were wondering what happen, then there it was, Zidane head butting the shit out of an Italian. Let not kid ourselves, no one likes the Italians in the world of soccer. Their arrogant prima donnas; but this might have been one step too far.
Watching Zidane walk off the pitch and past the World Cup, it's like you could feel the French hopes and dreams fading from the very pitch.
I was always curious as to what was said.....
