It looks like Steam just pushed Divekick's final patch which added a new free playable character.

You can now play as 'The Fencer' from Nidhogg.

So what does the character's Kickfactor do? I love that they continued to support Divekick. That game is legitimately great fun for local play. I have had people over that don't really play many videogames get super intense about winning in Divekick.

You should watch CEO 2015s Divekick Tourney. It was good fun to watch.

Seems like you it gives you a red outline and if you make it to the opponents side of the screen you instantly win..

Awesome! I don't care what The Fencer does; I'm always down for more Divekick. It sucks that this is the last patch, but between the game's age and IG's work on KI, it's totally understandable.

Still, here's hoping for a return to the concept down the road!

I wanted to get more into divekick, but not actually getting control of your character is not what I want in a fighter.
