This actually seems pretty awesome. There are 4 bundles to choose from each focusing on different roles. Logging on from April 25 - May 22nd lets you unlock one free bundle.

Neat, I stopped playing this a while ago, but maybe I'll be back for more with this bundle.

How's the game's population btw? I would think this game isn't doing very well if they are just giving heroes for free.

I'll get it just in case one of my friends in the future wants to play it on my acc and they missed this promotion. I don't ever see myself playing HotS over DOTA2.

came back a few weeks ago, the game is still fun but i wonder how well its doing if they are giving heroes away like this.

With the new update coming out, I'm sure they are doing better than ever. The game is in its best possible state atm.

This is pretty good. I've played enough HotS that I'm going to have to figure out which bundle gives me the most heroes I don't already have, though.

Lol could be tempted even through I probably wouldn't play it that much lol. Probably would go with flex or support bundle.

Eh, it's not just random hero bundles except for the newbie variety bundle.

1) Assassins
2) Support (healers) + Specialists
3) Tanks and Bruisers
4) Newbie/Variety bundle

Pretty cool, I own most heroes so gotta pick the one which gives me the most value

Most people will probably pick the variety or assassin bundle. The variety bundle does have a lot of niche playstyles (Vikings/Abathur etc.) but solid tanks/support/assassins

As someone who likes playing annoying 'trolley' heroes that make the enemy team groan when they see them, which of these packs is right for me?

I hope the game lets you know which bundle you own the least heroes in. I want to get back into Heroes of the Storm, I really enjoyed playing it.

They will give you 100 gems unpon login. The bundle cost 100 gems and unless you have every single hero it's by far the best value even if you only need 1 hero.

this sounded real cool until I remembered other games just give you the heroes

still, I might take the opportunity to jump in because there's probably some kind of promotion where I get something in Hearthstone for playing HOTS

This is extremely exciting; can't wait for the update to hit.

Probably getting the tank bundle because it has the most heroes I don't have and want.

Team 1 (HOTS devs and the ones that made SC1 and WCIII) are pretty much the best team of developers in any company when it comes to responsiveness and taking care of fans. But you're right, some of that may be spurred because they can't rest on their laurels.

It's a push for their new direction in 2.0 for microtransactions. With the massive change, an incentive is needed to get people to see it. If you don't like it, you should be atleast happy with the amount of heroes given to you at your choice.

That's a great offer, I've been thinking of coming back and I even installed the game a couple weeks ago, this is a good incentive.

Any idea when that patch about lootboxes and changes to leveling come out? That's all I'm waiting before jumping back in.

They give you 1000 gems if you get to level 5, I assume you'll only be able to buy one?

When you compare it to team 5 the Hearthstone team its a world of difference.

A hero will cost either 300, 500, 625 or 750 gems (hero specific and loosely correlated with how long the hero has been released)

I doubt team 5 is the one calling the shots regarding HS monetization. They probably have a dedicated business team for that.

I'm starting to feel like it's not even the Hearthstone team's fault. Like it feels like they're the red-headed stepchild of Blizzard, and they just don't get what the budget and support they should, relative to their success.
