Yeah, no. A translation will definitely be needed for the vast majority of people in the US or elsewhere.

About the language thing, im a brazilian too, the thing is the Quickness and accent, we speak slower than the spanish speakers, its easier for them to Understand what we talk, but its harder for us to Understand what they talk.
Another example a portuguese understands what a brazilian talks, but a brazilian dont understand what a portuguese talks.

If you guys disagree thats Fine, but thats not the subject.

I speak Spanish and i can understand 80 percent of spoken Portuguese and 90 percent of written, so yeah you're right.
