Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Genesis
I always found this interesting to look at as a kid. Especially when animated.
Pachislot Monogatari: Universal Special, SNES
Spider-Man: Lethal Foes, SNES
I'm not sure the middle qualifies, but the variety of buildings as you swing by is pretty good, especially at that scale.
Sailor Moon S, SNES
Illusion City, Sega CD
Terminator, Sega CD
Comix Zone, Genesis
Ghost Chaser Densei, SNES
Metal Marines, SNES
Gunstar Heroes, Genesis
Sonic Spinball, Genesis
The city on the sides really sets this off.
Robocop vs. Terminator, Genesis
Darkstalkers 3 (Vampire Savior) for a different angle which defies gravity :
the Tower of Arrogance background empty...
... and in action
Darkstalkers 3 really had cool backgrounds
like man, Fetus of God and Iron Horse, Iron Terror (can't find gif for latter sadly)
Sorry if asked already, what game/platform?Can I throw in an 8-bit villagescape?
Mark Ferrari's famous color cycling
SimTower (32-bit but still)
Might be breaking the rules, but Snatcher has gorgeous cityscapes.
I approveNinja Gaiden Arcade
Sorry if asked already, what game/platform?
Ahh, thanks, was wondering how many colours used in the waterfall palette cycling, it's very impressive, I'd guess 256 colours, maybe that's why 8bit is mentioned? It's no game, it's just pixel art.

Thanks, yeah 256 colours from the website. I absolutely love colour cycling from the16 bit days where it's not obvious that's what's being used, usually requires a large number of colours to cycle but some of the colour cycles on the Amiga were very impressive with 32 colours. Excellent links btw, cheersAccording to the artist its 8-bit, so yeah probably 256 colors.

Apparently some of them were actually used in a calendar and in a game called Battle Mage.
Not sure where this is from. Saw a streamer use it for their intro recently. The rain and smoke effects from the character's cigarette are really neat. If anyone knows where it's from, please share.
