Late to this thread, but have to agree with this. Nothing can touch 2007, not even 1998 or 2001. Actually 2001 wasn't that great in Europe anyway, as we had to wait till 2002 for the Gamecube, Xbox, FFX and MGS2 among others.

Great list of games. Not many exclusives which is good because I own a gaming pc but not a PS4. Though my brother has one and he lives near so no problem to play those few games I can't play on anywhere else.

2016 in whole looks like too good to be true. Will be difficult to find all the time and money to play every game I want to.

If I were to make a tread it would likely be ps4 focused,because it's what I do my gaming on.

Yes, it's a clean simple list. It's easy enough to research if you want to check availability on other platforms, I have to do it all the time for "PC" titles to see if a interesting game includes Linux.

It has Half Life 2, Far Cry, Doom 3, Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden, Metroid Prime 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, Rainbow Six 3, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Burnout 3, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, GTA San Andreas, Metal Gear Solid 3 and more in the same year!!!

IMO 2004 is still the best year.

They just weren't anything special for me. In 2007, the PS3 had only RFOM, MotorStorm, and The Orange Box that interested me. In 2004, I played on PS2 and PC, but I think that year pales in comparison to 2003, which had Silent Hill 3 and UT2003. They also hold no candle to 1999, 2001, 2013, and the past two years, as far as I'm concerned.
