Disgaea Triple Collection Coming to PS3 in Europe

That's unlikely since these are probably just repacked copies that were sent back from each respective game.

Do we know for sure these are copies of previous prints and not new prints for the games?

The Atelier and Neptunia collections contained all three games on one disc. I'm assuming it'll be the same for this one.

Also, wtf is this

The package will cost £39.99 / 39.99 EUR.

I'm interested in this, I had no idea about the Hyper Neptunia one either - I always wanted to try that series out, seems like the best place to start.

Waste of time, should have spent that money hurrying the localisation of DS5 on PS4, 9th October(UK) is not only faraway but its close to some of the biggest releases of the year.

Really hope the Disgaea games are patched
And patch the Rosenqueen duplication bug in D4? That would be a waste ^_^

With the nerfing of the Puppy Paw Stick, it's quite useful to speed-up the process of getting specialists. The game is long enough without making it even longer ^_^

A PS3 exclusive in 2015 huh

I swear it's like they want sales to be low with this series

Well, re-releasing on PS3 makes sense: That's where the originals are and can be quickly ported for cash from stragglers. Double-so if they include the DLC that they released for quick cash.

But I agree. It's really weird they didn't port Disgaea D2 to PC and next-gen consoles to get sales there while working on Disgaea 5. Or port D:D2 to Sony's portable to go with Disgaea 3-4 like on PS3.

With all the trilogy collections currently out, is anyone else surprised that there is no FF13 collection?

It seems like a no-brainer to me.

Are they competing with Capcom for the ugliest box art ever? This surely comes close to DMC collection.

Interesting to know that the previous collections were all games in one disc, I think this one will be the same thing. It should include all patches for the games, but none DLC, as it's been pointed that there is no mention of any DLC on the press release.

No reason it wouldn't be. The Vita releases with extra content are < 4 GB each for D3 and D4 and DD2 probably has slightly less actual content than D4 (DD2 has more gameplay but a huge chunk of it is just procedurally generated Item World diving in Ratetsu mode). Even assuming that the resolution difference between the PS3 and Vita multiplies the size by 4, it'd still be under 50 GB.

I just thought that, as some people hinted here, this was NISA using leftover stock and giving them a new purpose instead of printing new discs.

More just from a convenience point of view. Putting in a game and having to then download patches that eclipse the size of the game itself was a big annoyance with the Disgaea games personally.

None of the Disgaea's have had patches bigger than the game. They've has some pretty big patches but that's because Sony's patch distribution is awful, they don't do incremental patching so every patch has to have the content of the one before , so if you download every patch as it comes out you end up with more than the size of the game.

Tempted, but it'd only be bought to sit on the shelf. The extra £10 it costs in the UK is not helpful, even if it might translate to effectively the same price once retailed. Really should pass on it.

That wouldn't be economically viable.
