Even nuns watch porn, Pope says, warning of risks

Pope Francis has warned priests and nuns about the dangers of watching pornography online, saying it "weakens the priestly heart".
The Pope, 86, was responding to a question about how digital and social media should be best used, at a session in the Vatican.
Pornography, he said, was "a vice that so many people have... even priests and nuns".
"The devil enters from there," the Pope told priests and seminarians.

Even nuns watch porn, Pope says, warning of risks

Out of sheer curiosity Id like to see these people locked in a room with porn on loop 24/7.

Interesting when he says the devil enters from there. They also say the devil comes in all forms. Well he's right about that.

You can always bust a nut before attending the morning service Mr Pope. There's no shame in that.

Dare I suggest that the issue in society with gender and identity is linked to pornography. I know it messed me up pretty bad as a teenager in the early 2000's, and that was with shitty dial up internet and only access being through a family computer. I can only imagine how much worse it is now with such easy access from a very young age. It's also very normalised and now ingrained within society, you can feel its effects everywhere. Everything is blatant and out in the open there's no ambiguity to protect young innocent minds.

I'd say it must be pretty damn hard for a young fragile psyche to be able to go through the individuation process at puberty when you are instantly able to watch a multitude of males and females fuck each other, not to mention bombarded by it constantly from other media. Surely that's going to mess up the natural gender dualism or whatever it is taking place inside the mind. I know after watching a lot of hardcore porn for a long period of time, although I'd be hornier I'd feel much less masculine, and sure this would be the same case for woman as well. Coupled with moral degeneration and and the modern trend to dress like a clown, it's safe to say that western society in it's current trajectory is fucked.

Porn can also help people find their kinks and further things what they're interested in, what you've described is potentially a cuckold kink and you're fearing that so you blame the porn.

The problem is most people don't know moderation, especially with something that has become so normalised. It also rewires the brain negatively and similar to something like weed, although may have it's benefits is very dangerous to a young mind that is still developing. What I'm describing is the long term mental health effects over time of pornography not a cuckold kink. For example the loss of self control, general everyday anxiety, intrusive thoughts, impulsivity, lack of decisiveness, loss of clarity of mind, focus and willpower.. all which will have a knock on affect on a mans masculinity.

What you're describing here is Addiction, and even though porn/sex addiction numbers have gone up it still remains a miniscule percentage compared to how much is consumed.

I have no vices, i (try to) live a pretty healthy lifestyle (diet and working out), I have a non-boring sexual life but I can't escape porn. Its naturally addictive, strangely personal. I can go long periods without watching it, but you always relapse and go on a binge.

On one hand, porn is actually great for people who are not sexually active (including ministers of religion), on the other hand we still haven't found a way to appropriately signal its negative impacts. When it comes from religious institutions it tends to be mocked because its founded on conservative societal views.

My sex life improved by leagues when I stopped watching porn.

It just desensitizes you. I couldn't achieve orgasm from real sex, only with increasingly hardcore porn.

Sex is better than wanking off, so stop watching porn and fuck a person instead of your hand.

You'll be happier for it.
