Worse, is when Misguided refused to to update his OP, even when asked repeatedly to do so. If you're going to make a thread, at least update the damn thing.

... that they will do anything to jump on the latest trend of whatever news might be popping up in their field of choice because things like twitter give them a voice and a platform and allow attention that shouldn't be afforded to them.
Everyone on Twitter involved in creating this story should be fucking embarrassed. How the fuck do you accuse people of doing shit without having ANY kind of tangible evidence? "Oh well people felt you did." So perception equals reality now apparently.
Apparently if you want to meet Notch all you have to do is accuse him of doing something on Twitter.
Uh.. You obviously don't even know what feminism is, so your post is the laughable one here.
Probably the fact that it's true. Feminists do, actually, care about *genuinely* marginalized men (gay men of color, transmen, and so on). Much more than idiotic MRAs do.What's odd is that you think- actually, it seems that you fervently believe- that feminism is about equality. What gave you that impression? The immense amount of non-passion and non-dedication feminists have for marginalized men and disempowered men?

Mens Rights AdvocateI'm not a "MRA" I don't even know what that stands for.
fucking gamers.
Intersectional feminism does address race, economics, et cetera. And the idea that taking power and fighting for equality are incompatible is silly if you look at any historical fight for equality ever.Really? So people rotting in prison, or people who are living in a gang-ridden lower-city environment where they then go to prison, people who are on the receiving end of violence, homeless veterans, homeless men in general, people who are ostracized in society for being autistic, or "creeps", or whatnot- these aren't marginalized people? The fact that you define "genuinely marginalized" as "LGBT issues" is pretty stupid.
As opposed to the strenuous focus on rich white women at the higher levels of society- those are the marginalized?
I mean there is a truly serious amount of double-think you have to swallow to pretend that a movement that specifically and constantly focuses on power- specifically, the taking of it- is about equality. You don't divine the nature of a movement through rhetoric; you divine it through how they act and what they are passionate about.
I'm not a "MRA" I don't even know what that stands for.
And this is what I don't understand - where did this come from? There is just no way all of those people independently decided to make this up.
Please stop, you're going to turn the focus of this thread away from a celebratory circle-jerk around the corpse of some woman I've never heard of before into some bizarre "men's rights" fanaticism where you show self-righteous ignorance about a topic you know little about. As opposed to the strenuous focus on rich white women at the higher levels of society- those are the marginalized?
Yep.Another day, another dumb story somehow involving this dude from Polygon.
As someone who spent a year with the job these two media moguls are doing, I'm ashamed of and for them.

Out of curiosity, have much passion and dedication have you demonstrated toward any of those causes?

Haha and so it begins!Someone brought up feminism, so I made a comment on it. It's pretty richly ironic that you would wank off about "fanaticism" and "self-righteous ignorance". It rather demonstrates a complete lack of self-awareness, and a strange idea that a critique of feminism must be "bizarre" and "fanatical", as if the thing was so pure it could not be touched except by the corrupted.
She's still insisting something happened. Doesn't know when to give up. Now she's blaming the club. WTF are the people who were actually there, why does Holly think it's her cause to fight?
Honestly, people should get angry at Notch for hiring Skrillex. Brostep is the worst thing.
Haha and so it begins!
Could SOMEONE give me a brief description of what happened? Was it true? It seems like it wasn't true, but i can't say for sure. Why are people angry?
Haha, you responded with a dumb tu quoque that suggested I was being fanatical, self-righteously ignorant and completely lacking self-awareness for not wanting you to crap up this thread with mens-rights nonsense or some other red herring ie accusing feminists of not being genuine for daring to want equal representation in board rooms or politics. I'd say you deserve a massive tip of the hat for trying to be flip and clever while completely misfiring with your knee-jerk contentless ad hominems. Bravo! On the internet, it's so easy to be flip and clever and so hard to say anything sincere.
Wait, why is it not legitimate for feminists to push for more women in positions of power?
Wow...who cares?
I don't think it's not legitimate, I think it's completely legitimate.
It is, however, rather stupid to pretend the whole exercise is about equality. It's the rhetorical pretense I have a problem with, not so much the act. No political movement of this sort is ever really about equality; they are ultimately driven by power, regardless of the wishes of a few among them.

If this turns out to be nothing more than a witch hunt, then I hope the witches get burned.

I find it amazing how this guy is just always wrong.
He really should delete his twitter account. For safety reasons.
Has a game journalist ever said 'I fucked up. I was wrong. I'm sorry.' ?
