Huge Nintendo Switch exploit (potential hack) found on firmware 3.0.0

Buy a new one and it wont be higher than 3
0.0.

That's not guaranteed by any stretch at this point. Someone in this very thread got one from Amazon weeks ago and it was on 3.0.1

I'd wager majority of Switches on shelves today are beyond 3.0.0, at least in the US and Japan.

Yep, especially with how quick these things were/are flying off the shelves. It's not going to take too long to see new stock that Nintendo will have put a newer OS on.

Some breaking news . Daeken says he has code running .. release is soon like.. hours soon.

Also note: this if for “3.0 Only”

For people that have switches bellow 3.0 Redbox now has switch games you can rent. That’s how I upgraded mine to 3.0.. I believe there are 3 games you can upgrade right to 3.0

Great news. I'm all set. I have two Switches on 2.3 and have Pokken Tournament DX that can update to 3.0

I didn't know of other games that have the 3.0.0 update, I'm curious what they are.

Looks like work on RetroArch will be starting soon :)

As a promise to our Patreon backers, if the Switch wins in that poll (and by all accounts it's looking like it), we will go through the effort of buying a Switch (at firmware 3.0.0) and trying to ride that early wave. Sure, the audience will be niche, but then that has never stopped us from providing support for all the other platforms, and I see this as a nice gesture towards our userbase that has supported us this past year.
