Damn OP, that must've been hard as hell to deal with. I know what it's like when you're in a completely normal situation and something goes terribly wrong in a second. I had my middle finger almost smashed by an iron bar at the gym a year and a few months ago. Thankfully your face is unharmed. From how easygoing you sound in your post you must be mentally tough.
