Let's get Snake back in Smash then maybe
I don't really play any of their games I just want Snake back in Smash
I already have the same respect for Konami as I have for any prolific maker of casino gambling games. Which is none/who cares/I'll never touch it anyway.
MAKE VIDEO GAMES IDIOTS.
I wouldn't be surprised if the logic of Konami eventually does turn back to games. It's not as if the decision to get out of video gaming was some long term plan to last for all time. It was a reactionary move of suits pivoting to the most profitable assets in their portfolio, circa 2015.
These assholes will be back to gaming eventually. Hope they're preparing their make-good re-entry PR strategy. That's the cost of cutting and running like they did last year.
They remade some scenes.they remade MGS3 in Fox Engine for Pachinko

I think Kojima would've fucked up Silent Hill more. He went on record saying he was making it "pants shitting scary." As a Silent Hill fan can you honestly agree with that direction? That was never what SH was about. Probably was going to be full of jump scares. Silent Hill is much more elegant than that.
He probably just wants another outsourced game from a western studio or unrelated game with the SH name slapped on it in spit of not even taking place there. And yeah, he seems to have a hate boner for Kojima.Do you have some odd pent up hate for Kojima?
If you wanna diss the man, fine, but at least make a little bit of sense. P.T. is widely regarded as one of the scariest games of all time. It's not a jump scare fest. It has the creepy subtlety and uncomfortable atmosphere similar to the Silent Hill of the past. Yet, despite P.T. being what it is, you have this odd idea that Silent Hills was just going to be full of jump scares. Where do you get that impression? Is P.T. not good enough evidence? That quote somehow undoes all the goodwill and respect that the Silent Hills teaser earned? How does "pants shitting scary" signify a completely different experience from past games? I would say a lot of people would describe those games as such. Really, that quote means absolutely nothing, you're twisting it unnaturally into a completely unrelated meaning.

I know some people here did not like MGSV. After it released, I started to see a lot of bitter resentment aimed at Kojima. I don't think any of it is earned. Hey, you didn't like his last project, so whatever. That doesn't make him completely incompetent at business or a half-assed shitty creator. The guy is one of the gems of the AAA industry. Almost every developer is sticking to a formula and doing the same old shit. Kojima is one of the few trying something new and breaking new ground. The hate he gets is completely unearned in my eyes.He probably just wants another outsourced game from a western studio or unrelated game with the SH name slapped on it in spit of not even taking place there. One of the reasons people thought Kojima could do justice to SH beaides P.T. was the Paz storyline in MGSV. A completely optional sideops that was one of the better moments in the game.
Boi, the hate for MGSV on Gaf is ridiculous.
Watch movies or read a book, if you want a story!jk
MGSV is in my top 3 best games this generation. I've spend above 200 hours with the game. In hindsight, it really wasn't Konami's fault that the game didn't meet everyone's expectations.
The whole Peace Walker aspect of the game was not worth it, it killed the balance, took to much time + resources and could've been handled much better.
Give me MGS3 remake or.....
Fuck Konami

Shoulda known the Kojima defense force would lay into me, accusing me of shit like "hating Kojima" and wanting more Silent Hill Homecoming/Downpour (like seriously, what?). You can criticize someone and still like them, you know. I hate that I even need to defend myself here, but just to get it out of the way;
I consider MGS1 and MGS3 some of the best games of all time, and among my most memorable gaming experiences. I've put over 120 hours into MGSV and probably will put more even tho the overall game disappointed me, it is in no way shape or form a "bad" game. I support and love narrative gaming, something that Kojima is largely responsible for. I've been disappointed with his last few games (tho I still recognize them as good) so I'm wanting him to wow me now that he's free from MG, I'm hoping Death Stranding does just that.
I do hold him responsible for a lot of what went down at Konami and I wasn't liking his direction with Silent Hill. These are my opinions and I'm entitled to them. They don't mean I hate the guy at all and, to reiterate what I said early, it's silly I have to defend myself from allegations of disliking him and wanting more crappy Silent Hill games.
Christ, guys.
I can't believe people are clamoring for a MGS3 remake. Wouldn't a remake of MG1 and MG2 make much more sense.

If you want to be as faithful as possible to the originals, and I believe most of us would want that, you'd have to remake both MG1 and MG2 as 2D games. Besides, the original MG has aged terribly in comparison with MG2. Nah, I think most of us just want either a current gen port of the series including a PC release or a remake of the Solid games running on Fox Engine with upgraded assets. I'll take something more ambitious, but Konami would be taking the risk of fucking it up.I can't believe people are clamoring for a MGS3 remake. Wouldn't a remake of MG1 and MG2 make much more sense.
your wife should be > than any female than you've ever known. no?
Probably some news about pro evolution soccer since its coming in september?
Wow, can't wait for this amazingly enticing lineup of games:
1. Metal Gear Solid without Kojima
2. Yet another faceless Silent Hill sequel that nobody cares about after cancelling the mildly more interesting Silent Hills
3. Another shit stain, no doubt, in the also creatively bankrupt line of Castlevania entries
4. New shitty sequels of other random Konami IPs that will be collections of current gaming trends in a sad attempt to appease every fan demographic they lost...and miserably failing.
Killer prospects. PR guy talk adds insult to injury for me. Sad sad.
Nope, I have two seperate appointments. One for PES and another one for "New Game Announcement". Truth be told, I'd be mad if it turned out to be just another Yu-Gi-Oh.
Their Gamescom press release talks about Pes and Yu-Gi-Oh. Maybe the new game announcement is really Yu-Gi-Oh.

You've been blaming everything on Kojima and insisting he'd fuck up an entry into franchise that has been utter shit just based on an interview. He wanted it to to be scary and very different from Silent Hill at first, but end as a very Silent Hill game overall. He was going to try something a little different but it was ultimately going to be SH.Shoulda known the Kojima defense force would lay into me, accusing me of shit like "hating Kojima" and wanting more Silent Hill Homecoming/Downpour (like seriously, what?). I'm with you dude, it's disappointing the fanbase is being so childish over this. I was attacked in another thread because I simply said "It could have been Kojimas fault, truth is we'll probably never know" Next thing you know I was committing slander against the man.
But whatever, can't fight the internet hivemind might as well join them right?
Fuck Konami! I'll never play a game made by them even if it's great because reasons!
Because reasons? You make it sound like they haven't earned the negative image. Maybe some of those reasons don't matter to you, but it's shitty of you to come around being oddly dismissive of such opinions. Kojima aside, konami has bungled and mismanaged almost all of their franchises. Seeing the lack of support to MSGV, no, I would not be willing to immediately support that company.
