What? It was said: "First game did around 160k alone on vita", so i just wanted to mention that the game only existed on Vita to begin with. The PS3 version wasnt released about 6 months later. I think it was relevant to mention that, i dont see what it has to do with SmokeyDave.

It's just a joke. Look again at the part of the quote that was bolded.

Guess that anime is helping Yo-Kai Watch. This is like the third week in a row that it has seen an increase right?

You made typo with your original sentence so it's a joke.
I also only existed for Vita to begin with

New Monster Hunter 3DS XL and Love + 3DS XL

Again, Sony missed a good oportunity by not making Vita hardware bundles.

Damn, I just keep forgetting about that Monster Hnter 3DS XL!

As for the Love+ 3DSXL, I don't think they account for much of this week's bump.

Not sure I want to see next week's numbers, to be honnest :p

Of course it is. What else could it be?

PSN downloads, obviously!

Totally not overused joke

good stuff for 3DS and Vita especially. nice little bump for Wii U. PS4 though.....woof. if the PS4 and Wii U start mingling together in Japan it will be a sad time indeed.

edit: the PSVita outsold the Wii U and PS4 combined...

I think this is more about there exists a PS3 version now, which eats up a huge chunk of sales.

Not only that, but almost half of the songs of Diva F2 aren't new (from previous Miku games). Diva f was almost 100% new material. Kinda gives the "greatest hits" vibe to F2.

Would help if SCEJ would wake their asses up. Only game from game has been Knack for the PS4. You would think they would at least have a Hot Shots golf game ready near the PS4 JP launch. Still no game announcements from SCEJ.

I'm quite surprised. I was expecting, at least, a Hot Shots Golf and a Pupeteer port for Spring/Summer. Really weird situation.

The New MH4 XL doesn't come with the game.

Download code or it doesn't come with the game at all?

cw_sasuke

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
PS4 sales to be sub 15k when MK8 hits seems realistic.

@RalchAc
Nope, no code or anything its just the hardware. Same as they did for Yoshi here in the West, console limited edition without the game.

6 new releases for Vita charted this week, 5 new releases charted last week. Is this going to be normal, or are these last two weeks exceptional?

Oh, just in case anyone missed it: Famitsu scans suggest that Capcom's releasing an expansion of Gaist Crusher, Gaist Crusher God.

The New MH4 XL doesn't come with the game.

Btw. Any Project Diva 2 vs. Mirai 2 comparison?

Basically it seems the day one buyers were the same people for F1 and F2.

That said, I'm not sure repeatedly bilking people with a delayed PS3 version would actually be good for series health given the rate at which they put them out even if it results in them selling the same as the Vita game did in the short term.

Project Diva f2's opening is a bit underwhelming. Don't think releasing PS3 version helped. Also I don't know how much western release announcement affected the day 1 figures. I have imported PDf2 on day one but I didn't with PDf2 because I know that the Western version is coming soon.

can anyone provide some insight regarding the sales trajectory of the PS4 so far??

I mean, we all know consoles have a good starting week and start dropping from there. I would like to know whether PS4 is in line with what history has shown so far or if it's showing some unprecedented drop for a launching console.

I see a lot of alarming PS4 posts in the MC Threads, I wonder if they are warranted or just hyperbole.

March was filled with a bunch of releases for the Vita.

Anyone have a release schedule for what is coming to all consoles in April?

You know console gaming is dead in Japan when 24K for a brand new next gen console is labeled a "good week"

Hot damn. PS4 didn't go anywhere, even with last minute impulse purchases due to the tax increase.

Everything else looks great.

The Wii U needs more games, period.

Overall I feel like the evidence is mounting more and more to support the death of a thriving console market in Japan. Consoles are just about officially niche over there. Handhelds are where it's at.

Everyone should pray for the PS4 to stay over 20k.
It won't. If it drops this much even with the pre-tax sales boost to offset some portion of its "natural drop", it can only get a lot worse.

Should be seeing major drops for everything next week.
