SK was really good at world building and concepts...not so much everything else. They really, really struggled in the GCN -> Xbox 360 transition. I still dig their art.

i seriously doubt that nintendo would have taken yoshi from tezuka or kirby from hal, and star fox is dead, so no ,they wouldnt have been stuck doing those games.

To all who are saying that ED2 wouldn't be the same without Silicon Knights... most of what made the story and world so amazing was Ken McCulloch, wasn't it? Just hire him to make the story what it needs to be, and let a new team with some real talent handle the gameplay.
It's not like McCulloch couldn't use the work, at this point.

Wasn't a new Project Zero/Fatal Frame for Wii U recently announced in Famitsu?

That's a pretty solid bet for a good horror exclusive, unless that isn't what you meant?

Do you know what happened to him? Reportedly, he was arrested in June last year on child pornography charges but the link on to original article on Bullet News Niagra is giving me a 404 error and I can't find any article mentioning whether he was convicted or acquitted.

Wait no, the relevant Kotaku article (it's a good read if you haven't read it) implies that the ED2 demo took a year and was two rooms.

A good read, but surely not a good piece of journalism to be taken as truth, seeing as it is based entirely on anonymous office grudge dredge work. In being a good read it may also just be a good piece of fiction. Who knows?

Eternal Darkness HD is going to be announced by Nintendo at E3, as well as the sequel.

We're still not sure it will hit state side (though there's a good chance).
But it's completely different from what Eternal Darkness does.
ED is more of a psychological thriller while FF is more of a jump scare type of game.

It wouldn't surprise me if they have someone working on it. I'm also expecting at least two out of the following given the Wind Waker HD treatment: Eternal Darkness HD, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door HD, Wave Race HD or F-Zero GX HD.

After the bucketloads of profit they made from Wind Waker HD it's a no-brainer for them to do more with their conversion software. I'd really like to see them making this software available to third parties too.

I fully expect an HD remake (probably of a gamecube game) to be announced at E3 this year. It just makes too much sense (though that's also a possible argument against them announcing anything). F-Zero GX or Luigi's Mansion pl0x.

I found an article by Google. WOW. When DYACK distances himself from you, it's gotta be bad.
But no, I can't find anything about conviction or acquittal. Either way, though, I have a feeling his career is over.

.... well, time to find someone else up to the task, I suppose.
