New "The Last of Us" Trailer

I have a feeling this game could actually trigger something emotionally.
That rarely happens. Hope it's the case. The last Guardian is nother game where i can see that happen (if it ever releases).

Good. Feel like the sound effects are a bit behind the graphics though. Would love a bit more of that No Country For Old Men oomph to it

This is really not my kind of game, but it looks good. I'm imagining survival horror, bullet/resource management, etc. Snore.

Normally I'd agree, but Naughty Dog has such a strong track record, I'm feeling pretty optimistic.

There's a Nathan Drake cameo, u better not watch.

Looks the same to me.

looks like a sam rockwell painting.

Still? They never said when.

this is this nov 2012 release. no?

I'm not. Naughty Dog was pissed that Uncharted 3 ended up being rushed. They said they won't push release dates anymore unless they're 100% positive.

Keep in mind the game will have been in development for three years this winter. 3 years is plenty of time for a high profile team such as Naughty Dog to put out a high quality product.

Wonder where they are getting fuel from to run the truck? Would've thought that was a commodity that would run out pretty quick smart. Also I like the newer Ellie model better personally, not really sure why though.

So with this and Revolution by the end of the year we're going to get a lot of bitching about how end of the world/nature takes back the city stories are overplayed aren't we?

Watching it again...the tweaks made to Ellie really gives her an unsettling resemblance to my daughter.

I'm not sure I'll be able to play this game...

whaatt? i always thought it'll be this year.
now i'm sad.

It'll be done when it done. They said not too long after it was announced that they didn't want to repeat the same mistake they made with UC3 and have to rush it to make the date. They said they were looking at Late 2012/Early 2013.

Look awesome. Love to see that they focused on the human side of things.

Edit:

Would be even more awesome if we're given a choice either to help him or run him over.

It looks awesome but I have a feeling I might go and watch all of the cutscenes on YouTube and just call it a day. :/

I didn't get into Uncharted so I don't know yet...

Don't start expecting or wishing for shit like that in this game or you'll end up being disappointed. They've already said the game is going to be largely linear and follow the script they've written for it. Don't expect any Bethesda/Bioware dialogue wheels or anything. It's not that type of game.

Obviously one shouldnt expect choices like of an rpg but they did say we will have choices to make not in terms of story but rather in gameplay

I need this in my life.

What a great trailer! I think this is the first time we've seen evidence that Humans are a problem as well as the corycep spores.

the 'kid sister / daughter' thing gets me every time. even in as corny a series as yakuza, it really works well as a way of humanizing what'd be just one more run-of-the-mill hard-ass (& no, it doesn't necessarily have to incorporate an escort mission :) ). surprised it's not used more often...

very sold on last of us at this point...
