OT: I think it is obvious that he is talking about the XB1 version looking better. This probably means BF4 will look better on it too. Cancelling my PS4 pre-order as we speak.

Im pretty sure MS confirmed 4k games and content in a press release. While sony only confirmed 4k content.

Won't kno until HotChips which is around the corner.

Its obvious he's surprised by XB1. I mean the console has been called a underpowered, God Delivered Dynamic Ram 5-less piece of garbage that's going to be left in the dust for the last 8 months. So I would be surprised too.

But in reality both versions will be pretty much at parity. What don't you get there? Why would they say "but", if not to refer that one is much more powerful but they still are going for console parity.

Parity here is in relation to the game versions. Otherwise if they were referring to Xbox One they would be implying that the One is more powerful than the Ps4 and will have PC like visuals. Seems impossible.

Sounds like they're talking about Xbox One. Both consoles have surprised them but I think on paper we all knew PS4 shows more muscle, so any special surprise would be coming from Xbox One. The second part, him saying both consoles will be pretty much on parity reinforces the first statement, since it was originally thought the PS4 would be crushing, but it looks like that's not the case.... interesting. Of course the system that closer matches the PC is likely the PS4, but the difference between X1 and PS4 will not be as significant as most people originally thought.

Exactly why I'm waiting till 2014 big hitters to hop into next generation. Obviously the PS4 is beefier but will it be used on 3rd party games or just get Xbox ports.

It will look better on Super Nintendo because it has better chance of releasing on it. And those who can buy a Neo Geo will buy a car and race IRL and pay speeding tickets and will still save money.

Everybody knew this was going to happen except for the Xbox fans who denied there will be a noticeable difference, although I am surprised we are seeing noticeable differences already. I wasn't expecting PS4 games to pull ahead until the second round of games at the end of 2014 to be honest.

Considering the specs of each system, and the ease of development compared to last gen, I really do not understand how the Xbox One version could look better unless it was intentionally made to look better. Unless the One version had longer dev time or was the primary version of development, I really do not understand. Unless, it is because of the "infinite power of the cloud" or something.

EA just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about American culture (I'm an expert), but policitcs are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Europe where you can become successful by being a socialist. If you promote communism in America, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the American public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase NFS: Rivals for either system, nor will they purchase any of EA's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but EA has alienated an entire market with this move.

EA, publicly apologize and cancel NFS rivals for sega genesis and turbo GFX or you can kiss your business goodbye.
