That stocking is really tight, isn't it?
Lol, isn't that some sort of fetish that you often see in manga, anime and that whole Japanese idol business?

Just beat it on hard. time for very hard mode.
I know what you mean

Does it really matter? Either way I don't want to see it under the skirt. They could have made the skirt a bit longer as well with all the flipping around she does.
I didn't play it yet, so maybe I'm underestimating how basic the combat is, but to people saying they're disappointed because of the combat depth compared to previous Platinum games, surely you mean Bayonetta? MGR didn't have a lot of mechanical depth at all. People didn't like to admit it at the time, but DmC has a lot more combat depth than MGR.
Of course, this doesn't mean anything when you have stuff like the color coded enemies, some pretty uninspired weapons and awful boss fights to go with that, and it didn't stop people from thinking MGR was a much better game, but that's exactly my point here. Combo potential is not the only form of gameplay depth. That boss battle they showed at E3 looks better than any boss fight in MGR, mechanically (imo, of course). And I absolutely love most of the bosses in MGR!
You can't just ignore the whole new layer of combat depth that the bullet hell elements bring, as well as the camera and genre shifting making for interesting gameplay scenarios and bosses.
So for whatever reason I never played the original NieR or the other games that NieR was a spin off from but I'm interested in this a lot, it looks great.
So regarding the story, will I need to play any of the other games or maybe get on YouTube to catch up on the story or is this an unconnected story that I can just jump into ?
Is the demo apart of the story?
That's Yoshida's art style generally speaking. Nothing to do about it

If you play a game designed by Yoshida you're gonna see a healthy amount of thigh haha
Well this demo doesn't feature a lot of weapon types and pod-functions or a trial mode they showed in streams so people can only get so much out of this demo.
See I actually like Yoshida's art. The artwork for this game itself is pretty good, and I love his character designs for some of the FF's and Tactics Ogre. But when I'm jumping and flipping around all over the place doing somersaults, cartwheels and whatever, it just feels and looks off.
Nier, Nioh and Horizon in February.

I'm really liking it. The only issue I have is 2B's outfit. I like how shall we say stylish some of the moves, animations and finishers can be and the flourish to them.. But why the gap in the skirt so I can see her underwear pretty much all the time? Kinda annoying and puts me off. It's not as bad as Kaine but still. This is something I think my sister would enjoy but seeing something like that straight away may dissuade her
In the UK at least.

Yeah I know how it works. Just disappointing. It's not gonna stop me from getting and enjoying the game though. As I said, I'm liking the demo a lot. Just would have been nice is allIt is how it is. Its an M rated game, and the level of skin on display is generally in line with previous entrees in the series.
YMMV, but its not out of the ordinary
It's been a long time since I played Xenosaga! Maybe it didn't bother me so much in my teens or I've grown more aware of how tiresome it is. If I do eventually get my much wanted and mythical Xenosaga Remaster, I might end up feeling the same way. Heck I remember her last special move in III where her top comes off or something. Well at least in the cutscene version and not the in game battle oneKos mos featured in you avatar shooting lasers from where she does is a lot more dubious to me,as to what the creators were thinking, but i guess people have different sensibilities. You can maybe have hope for different player characters or costumes if Platinum puts in their usual work.

I don't have what it takes to play on hard so i can't speak to what people with better skills want from the combat.Sure, but if you say you're disappointed, that means you expected more out of it, even considering it's just a demo with a very limited set of tools.
Same but i thiught Nier was march
Nier, Nioh and Horizon in February.
Created a UK acc and can't find the demo. What am I doing wrong? Do I need PS+?
Does this demo support PS4 PRO, meaning having exta features on it?
There's gr2 a month prior so thankfully nier is in marchNier, Nioh and Horizon in February.
NieR isn't coming out till March in the west.
Still a crazy lineup though.
