he definitely wants to buy valve , its gonna happen for sure
It went from 100% to 200% in three years! They went from 2 people to 4?
That's a completely meaningless statement without context.
Doubled in size from what to what?
Doubling, for example, from 2000 to 4000 isn't especially impressive, as 4000 pc players in a country as technologically advanced, with the history Japan has in game development, and hardware manufacturer, would be a pretty low number.
Now, if it went from a healthy 1 million to a even healthier 2 million that's quite good - after all, a million people who have gotten into pc gaming in 3 years is a respectable amount.
From other sources it's a billion dollar industry in Japan and has over 5 million active users. They went from 2 people to 4?
I'm sure nintendo government has rules about something like that...He wants to buy Japan
He’ll have a free 80B to spend soon.he definitely wants to buy valve , its gonna happen for sure
Thats a god playing on the best gaming platformThat guy on the racing wheel...Is that Phil driving Xbox out of the industry?
That's Xbox playersThey went from 2 people to 4?
This will never get approved by regulators without carving out Steam.he definitely wants to buy valve , its gonna happen for sure

Serious question, can regulators prevent the purchase of a private company and private sale?
Isn't Valve privately own? And does it mean that different rules apply to let's say Activision acquisition? I'm genuinely asking, I don't know...
Yes, they don't care who buys whom, only if the consumer is worse off.Serious question, can regulators prevent the purchase of a private company and private sale?
Acquiring Valve will dramatically reduce competitiveness of PC digital game market. Microsoft stopping SteamOS development (that runs Windows executables better than Windows) would further restrict the OS market. That thing is not getting approved.Isn't Valve privately own? Why not? It would add value to GamePass. I thought lots of PC-gamers were happy with GamePass?Let's hope it will never happen. Valve is an amazing company, I don't think any PC user would be in favor of them being bought by Microsoft or by whoever.

While overall it's obvious MS buying valve would be bad for us consumers, TBH I couldn't see them doing a worse job than valve, they do almost nothing with steam these days, wtf does all their money get spent on? Yachts for Gaben?
Well, yeah, I was being sarcastic. No it wouldn't, they would still need to get publisher agreements for games to appear on gamepass in the same way that they do now. It would change nothing in that respect.
Beyond that, considering how they've handled the windows store/xbox app, I think it's safe to say nobody on steam would want them anywhere near what valve had built over the last couple of decades.
Then there's the Linux side of the equation which is a whole other tin of worms and would have implications for the steam deck.
Why not? PC is the best place for everything. Just a matter of everyone see the light.I wouldn't have believed you 10 years ago that PC would be a good place to play JRPGs or Japanese games in general.
It's kinda nuts!
Microsoft is a terrible company and would be just as bad as apple of given the chance. Is this forum just anti xbox now lol, every thread i swear
Right, so we can tell the Japanese PC market is growing, but it's unsure whether it's huge.Doubled in size from what to what?

There is a general trend, but I wouldn't discount the effects of PUBG's insane success back in 2017. It might have changed the landscape. So is this because of Steam or just general PC adoption, obviously running Windows so it helps Microsoft. But other than doubling the pain for people using directx, what has Microsoft actually done there? or does he just want to take it over and buy Valve? Valve needs to get SteamOS into Japan.
Independent of what/who?Microsoft is a terrible company and would be just as bad as apple of given the chance.
We need to move away from all of them. Ditching windows for linux would make PC completely independent.
Oh yeah I love to see it, just a stark contrast from where the Japanese PC user base back then to where it is now.Why not? PC is the best place for everything. Just a matter of everyone see the light.
did you just wake up from a coma and that’s why you’ve never heard about the Steam Deck? While overall it's obvious MS buying valve would be bad for us consumers, TBH I couldn't see them doing a worse job than valve, they do almost nothing with steam these days, wtf does all their money get spent on?
