Sorry this will sound harsh but in my opinion we are entering (or have entered) the shovelware era of PS Plus Catalog. Classics getting yet another Ape Escape while the catalog of PS1 is immense. I feel a lot of this games are like your classic "we are on our last leg of sales and could use a boost to increase multiplayer count/sell a new incoming DLC/increase sale of microtransactions"

Usually the good games come only from the indie devs.

I knew keeping alien isolation on my wishlist for 8 years instead of buying it for $12 would pay off.
I bought it on PS4 years ago and bought it again last year on PC for the higher framerate and mods.

I'd buy it again if it got a PS5 Enhanced edition.

It's been on my steam whishlist and ironically... close to the top all this time lol. I've heard nothing but good things.

The mods that alter the alien AI are amazing. Of course there's other mods for graphics and lighting, etc. but the AI ones take the cake.

Still pretty weak on the oldies. :(
I want Dino Crisis, RE2/3, Toshinden, Parasite 1 & 2, Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire games... PS2 games too.

What time is it?
Good month but I've played most of what I'd be interested in. I'll give House of Ashes just so I can be disappointed in another title from Super Massive Games. I'm not sure why they can't recapture the magic that was Until Dawn.

Weak month for me.
Disco Elysium is great but I already played through it. From what I've seen Gotham doesn't even seem worth the time (also fuck 30fps only).

I guess House of Ashes might be worth a shot. I've heard it's the best one yet but people also said The Quarry was decent and I found it to be terrible.

Happy about Far: Changing Tides as I really enjoyed the first game. House of Ashes I'll probably give a shot eventually. Been playing the Quarry so not ready to jump into another of those games yet.

It's weirder than that even. Ape Escape Academy was a PSP game, so this is probably one of those PSP repackagings they did with Super Stardust Portable and Pursuit Force Extreme Justice (which runs emulation "enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.") Their choices of what to pull out of the PSP library is bizarre given that they have a decent-seeming emulation wrapper and the games hold up fairly well upscaled and filtered yet almost none of the big or even brand-familiar games have used the format. No Daxter, no God of War CoO/GoS, no Motorstorm AE, no Killzone Liberation, no Jeanne d'Arc. (They did get out the two PSP Syphon Filters and also have the PS1s out too, so only the PS2 game and that is missing, plus Combat Ops but that's MP.)

But yes, classic game sales are seemingly on their last legs. In the old days, gamers went crazy for buying titles from their past and the Classics library went well on PSN (as it did for other console's libraries,) but the bottom has been eaten out of the market and there are apparently rights issues and other costs in selling high-profile titles. So instead of a full library of PS1/2/PSP blockbusters, you get whatever they can easily pull out of the vault to flip for free.

...That being said, I remember kind of liking Ape Academy.

the third tier in ps+ is just awul..They're raising the price to 160 for THOSE kind of games.. I might just get ps++ next month when my year finally runs out.

Disco looks good and is house of ashes any good? I liked until dawn and the quarry was kinda meh.

Will try out Far: Changing Tides and GunGrave G.O.R.E before my PS plus ends. I think I bought Disco Elysium a while back, if not i'll definitely play that one before my ps plus ends.

And yet they have classics as part of the PREMIUM tier, which doesn't seem worthwhile.
