I'm going with this or GEO officers going after people in the sphere of the Barcelona suspects/vehicles who are already flagged for radicalization.

Yea, I've heard from friends who studied abroad and Spanish gaffers that many people stay out till 4-5 in the morning.

Yea, I've heard from friends who studied abroad and Spanish gaffers that many people stay out till 4-5 in the morning.

My Spanish friends tell me that they go out around three and exit the clubs around 7 AM. 4 to 5 AM is standard by any European standards

This source claims they were trying to mimic what happened in Barcelona by running over people but they were stopped in time. Apparently the police killed four terrorists but there is a fifth one and they "don't rule out the possibility" of him being armed with an explosive belt since the other ones did.

Why would they be going after Spain?

If it's Islamic Terrorism, it makes sense (???) for them since Spain once was invaded by muslims and getting it "back" is one of their goals. Barcelona was never part of the region, but then again that's not what matters for people these days.
