NeoGaf bafflingly don't allow threads based on tweets. The medium's more important than the source or news, apparently.
Which is especially odd when the new updates contradicts old threads like this

I think someone already tried and it was locked, they're cracking down on threads based on tweets.
Why this one is still up I don't know.
Fair enough, sensible policy for the most part as there are a lot of "insiders" trying to get clicks out there. Title change would be nice, even just to say there is uncertainty to the original rumor, despite how certain this last tweet was.
God damnit, this thread is based on a tweet. Get in here modbot
Real talk, might as well get some balance here with these Tweet-based threads haha.

Didn't realise we wern't allowing threads based on Tweets, I suppose if LPVG report it then it's thread worthy?
Posting hearsay and "rumors" on Twitter is easy and requires very little accountability. The very fact that the people reporting this have waffled several times should be evidence enough of why we do not want threads created about tweets like this. When someone is confident enough in the authenticity and solidity of their information to attach it to themselves and/or their employer in the case of a journalist in a professional capacity, then we will be happy to have a thread about it. Until then, we would appreciate it if people would stop making new threads every time someone tweets about something they heard or are predicting on a personal Twitter account.
