The rainbow over the hq hit me harder than the flags being down
Yamauchi didn't put himself out there as the public face of the company in nearly the same way. He was public enough, but there was no Yamauchi Asks, no Nintendo Directs (not that the technology really existed during his tenure)... and he wasn't particularly a gamer himself, but a savvy businessman with an eye for developer talent. The personal connection for many (myself included) is much stronger with Iwata.
Different personalities and different exposure to fans.
All my complaints about Nintendo's showing at E3 this year seem so petty now. Those guys had something far more important to deal with but they still put on the best show they could. I appreciate them so much more for it and am heartbroken that Iwata surely wanted to be there for his fans. Regardless of what they do as a business and publisher, Nintendo will always have a special place in my heart because they are genuinely good people doing good work to make others smile.
Quote it...but also its not like you're exploiti. More pics are fine. Just not obnoxious selfies
Don't wanna take more pictures, out of respect.

Feels weird to be sitting here. R.I.P Iwata-San.

Dammit, man, don't do this to me. ;_;
A very quick tribute.
Same thing happened in Yoshi's Woolly World today. Most of the Miis on the map showed condolences to Iwata.Playing splatoon and literally every squid I walked up to in the town area had a message of condolence for Iwata. I don't know if they are picked randomly or not, but it was a touching surprise to see so many people posting about it.
I feel like I need to get Mario, Link, Ness, Kirby, & Pikachu Amiibos, now.
One last time for today I want to give my deepest condolences to his family and friends. My wife and me lit this candle together with all his childs in memory and honor of Satoru.
R.I.P.
Your lucky to get the ign video to work don't expect consistency eitherThey forgot to turn off the background music.
I don't remember all these fan comics/art for Yamauchi.

I love all the fan art, it's fucking beatiful, but these industry folks paying their respects to Iwata somehow really gets to me.
iwata contemplates the bananas
rest in peace
Even though I don't always agreed with his business decisions he always seemed like a very sincere and nice guy.
Fuck cancer.
Please ribbon my avatar.
not sure if this is the place to ask, but could someone please ribbon my avatar?
May I request a ribbon for my avatar please? I would greatly appreciate that.

I hope Iwata gets the Hollywood treatment like Steve Jobs so we can see a big budget movie on this man's life. Hopefully we'll at least get a documentary.
He retired and we had closure, and he went.
Rereading his old interviews it's still hard to stomach that he's gone. Like in a few weeks he's back with a new Direct, or a new Iwata Asks. Or in a few months a gaming journo people will ask him about NX and he said "Please wait until next E3."
We're not going to see Iwata unveil NX out of his suit pocket ._.
Another artists made an Iwata tribute, this time it's Splatoon-related.
Now I want Iwata clothes in Splatoon with those stats.
