SEGA Thanks Player For Reporting They Could See Panties In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix Switch

Today we have some very strange news to share with you about Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix.

Apparently, players are able to see panties of various vocaloids in full view in the Nintendo Switch version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix. Twitter user @NaganegiPlus, who saw this happening, reported to SEGA about the matter. SEGA customer support thanked them for their report and has mentioned they will remove the panties from plain view in the next version 1.03 update.

Screenshots taken from the Switch version (please note they have been censored):

Here’s what SEGA customer support said:

“Thank you for supporting SEGA Games.

Thank you for sending your inquiry to us about Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix.

Our company has been able to confirm the issue you reported to us about the game.

At this time, we are preparing a version 1.03 patch which will fix the issue in question. Once we are able to confirm everything works as expected, we will release the patch. The images will disappear after installing the new patch.

We will announce the release date of the patch on our official website and other channels. Please wait until then.”

Here’s how the Japanese reacted:

“What a relief!”
“I will DEFINITELY NOT update.”
“Argh”

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

Makes one wonder why take the time to draw any thing that you don't want the user to see...

Nothing exists under the skirt, like the legs or crotch, nothing to expose

When I read the title I thought that Sega's response was going to be tongue-in-cheek. But unless their twitter person's sense of humor is extremely dry (which would honestly make this even more funny), it sounds like they're serious?

That's like telling a sandwich shop that your ham and cheese has cheese on it, and they go "oh shit I don't know how that happened, I'll redo it".

Why is Sega giving into this SJW twitter shit loser for a Japanese exclusive release?

All games will be censored if ONE person complaining means more than the general consensus of the fanbase
It’s probably less to do with censorship and more of the physics engine is not working as intended based off of the OP’s screenshots. The game is a near 1:1 port of Future Tone on the PS4 and the arcade with a toon shader added onto the models. The same scenes on those games (and all other games these songs have been on) never had the skirts fly up like that.

Ever since the series was released on the Vita, Sega has been preventing the user to move the camera to underskirt angles of all characters including males and swimsuits in certain modes. Though some costumes still let you get away with it because of how short they are.

It might have had a hand in why the game was sold out across the country.
Funny how Sega removed the actor in Judgment for doing cocaine (and replacing him with a new actor) but it's ok to have pre-teen girls being sexualized? There are tons of games like that in Japan and that is accepted?

Is this an actual physics glitch like the Player 2 boob jiggle in SF5, or just a spoil sport?
I don’t play SF5 to know about that, but it’s most likely a glitch in Mega39s since this doesn’t happen to those same songs in other project diva games they appear in. Unless for some reason Sega for some reason decided to add those physics in just for the switch version, which would probably land them in hot water since they don’t own the characters.

Was going to post this. Judging by the screenshots, it'a clearly a cloth physics glitch.

I don't get this. There are plenty of modules of her in bikinis and shit. (too many IMO yet very little of Meiko you know the one that isn't flat) Or sexually suggestive lyrics. This game is a port of Future Tone but with half the songs and a filter of some kind either way so ??? Also she is a fucking program. Literally. Sega what the hell this looks worse than before!

Sega licenses the IP and doesn't own it
It allows the original company to maintain control of the content
Easier to control what merchandise also gets made for it as well; and well, Hatsune is a HUGE fucking thing in Japan
Skrilla still dominates any business, even if they want to try to hide as much of it as they can with good PR and "traditional company values."
