At my college, we had one portion of the library that was dedicated to media. You could check out movies and music for free. They also had several TVs and audio centers set up if you wanted to watch your movie there, which I often did. Being a film nerd, I decided to check out In the Realm of the Senses, a classic Japanese film. The movie is notorious for its unsimulated sex scenes. UNSIMULATED. Now I knew it was notorious for its portrayal of sex, but I did not expect it to be honest to god hardcore sex. I was praying for people not to walk by.

So about 10 years ago in my local library, this guy walks in. He's will dressed, and looks pretty well off.
Anyway, after a few minutes, in the corner of my eye, I noticed he was watching porn. Some really hardcore shit. It was a chick getting fisted, what looked like borderline shoulder deep.

It does have a Civilization feel to it during some moments. What the lead female (she's the one in the gif) is attempting to do and the back and forth that takes place with characters like the Trader is what makes the whole plot interesting.

Very likely. I do think those that like anime should try it out though. It's got some depth to it. The fan service does seem to be used to just grab your attention but the rest will keep you watching. I haven't been into anime for a long time now but this is one of the fewer newer shows to pull me back in.
