I really hope they don't throw out maps from the original game. I'd love to experience them with the new gameplay and progression systems.

No season pass for BF2.

Bernd Diemer, DICE's Battlefront II creative director, confirmed it outright in a chat ahead of the game's Star Wars Celebration 2017 reveal: "We don't have a season pass."

Now, that could just mean you won't be able to pre-purchase $15 map packs this time around. But Diemer's explanation suggests a more significant change.

"We decided on that, and it's one of those difficult decisions because it has so many implications all around," he continued. "When we looked at the way Battlefront had evolved over its lifetime, with the DLC and everything, we decided, 'You know what? For this type of game, season passes are not the best thing. We need to [take it apart] and come up with something better."

EA won't confirm it yet though.

This convention is so damn lame.

90% of the show floor is merch and collector shit.

The few worthwhile events are blocked behind passes you get in the morning and a second line to wait in.

The vast majority of events either comprise of merch/fan hosted content or behind the scene stuff that take up your queue pass for the day.

I'm glad I'm somebody's plus one for free, this isn't worth $65/day.

I went to Celebration V and that was significantly better imo. There were a lot more events and you didn't have to jump into a million hoops to do something. The show floor was also less merch and had TONS of cool props hanging around. Beside an ATAT prop there's not much here.

There's huge wrapping lines, but they're all for "collector" toys.

This shit is just lame commercial garbage.

I mean, I've only ever been to one convention in my life, but that kinda sounds like a typical convention.

Celebration V had more events focused on Star Wars books/movies/art/animation etc.

The events are considerably more collector focused, fan focused, and merch focused.

The show floor is devoid of anything besides toys and it wasn't like that for Celebration V.

There's like so little to actually /do/ and I've been to a Star Wars con at this same convention center that was miles better... and that was pre TFA

It's nothing more than a glorified convention.
