Try thinking a little more critically about this and you'll see why the Dualsense is required (despite being able to turn off the features) — his point is still valid. What you really need to understand (and I know you won't) is that the DS4 is absence of those features, there is no turning them off, it just doesn't have them. Turning them off on the DS5 does not remove them from the controller and the default isn't set to "off" (do some reading about smart defaults or settings that are default and how often people change those).
Agree with their decision or not, but this way, it is almost a guarantee that anyone playing a PS5 game on a PS5 system is going to be using a Dualsense controller, the part that flies over the heads of anyone who says the same thing as you. And saying this move is all about the money is a bit short-sighted and isn't some secret insight that you are revealing; they invested money into creating the controller and want people buying and using it over previous iterations, regardless, when it comes to feature adoption, you have to PUSH for it.
