"Bayonetta"

"Is"

"For"

"The"

"Gays"

So it is okay.
Bayonetta fan communities are still having a meltdown over Jeanne and Bayonetta shipping not going official, even though the developers and writers never even implied that this was their relationship.

They have always been portrayed and written as best friends in the games.

Either way, Bayonetta is very popular on Twitter. And 90% of the the people there never actually played a Bayonetta game, unsurprisingly.

They just appropriated the game for themselves, and use it to attack Stellar Blade.

Apparently Bayonetta is liked by social media and toxic places for all the wrong reasons(they think she represent the drags, fights against the church, is lesbian according to fanfiction, etc). So its not like its the same situation.

Bayonetta is a dominatrix character that uses her sexuality as a source of power to often times emasculate male characters. Sexuality is women's primary agency/power in this world. Always has been, always will be. Thats why women showing their butthole on the internet for money equals empowering and good to feminists and will never be condemned, but men making fictional depictions of idealized versions of women that other men enjoy looking at for profit equals bad to feminists. It's about control and who wields the power. Men who don't realize this dynamic and allow themselves to be shamed for their preferences are extremely naive.

Ya see, there's a group of especially pathetic people out there - people that have a need to be "represented" in their fictional video games, whether that's sexually or physically.
These people don't have real problems other than the fact they can't think for themselves and instead rally with their other incels against the new "thing". In actuality the movements are most likely started by some guy who's 350+ lbs and is working on mastering the katana.

People did freak out about Bayonetta pre-release, but the difference between Bayonetta and other games is that Bayonetta's sexuality is so over the top that it lands in camp territory.

Bayonetta's sexually charged femme fatale personality is more appropriate in context, whereas Eve just kinda looks like a used sex doll. I don't have any positive or negative views on Eve tbh, she is just window dressing.

The bear of bad news
The only people that are offended by Eve are the usual ultra-woke crowd.
But we can't expect that people with mental problems, to act in a rational, logical way.
These people live to be offended. For them, everything is sexist, everything is racist, everything is offensive. And they have to point it all out.
But the reality is that they are just narcissists, that want to be the center of attention.
this post is genius my friends
