Nintendo barely have the internal resources to make Wii U games, what chance do they have of making titles with XB1/PS4 levels of fidelity?
I think you are, since it's saying that there's a home console and a mobile unit, not that the home console is also a mobile unit.
They could probably still exist for another 10 years with what they made with Mario Kart Wii alone.
Are you being serious right now?
The NX is going to really have its work cut out for it, if it's trying to compete technology wise with Microsoft and Sony.. These systems have been out for three years and they'res no sign of this ending in anytime soon. This means that when the next Microsoft and Sony systems launch in 2020 or so that they will most likely outperform the NX by a large margin.
Ever since the Wii faded out in the middle of '11, Nintendo has been operating on a different time table and this hurt the WiiU.
I meant something like a large size VITA controller (mobile device) and a WiiU console (console) but tied together would fit that description...?
These early hardware rumors are pretty much always horse shit.
Orbis was supposed to equip 7979 level GPU with Steamroller CPU. Xbox 720 with dual GPU and 16 core CPU. Project Cafe "much more powerful" than PS3/X360.
Yeah, never again.
It had better run Mario Maker.
How much would that cost?Yeah, just imagine the endless possibilities of a controller with the abilities of a PS Vita which can be connected to a console as powerfull as a PS4! That's some innovative bullshit!
Seriously, Nintendo can do better then that.

That is not a hybrid, is 2 devices but fits the description...
So do you guys think we will be getting a reveal at e3 next year?
How much more powerful though
What do you think it is then?

I thought the WiiU was supposed to be powerful but Nintendo gutted it at the eleventh hour.
So its going to be a console handheld hyrid. Taking your game with you sounds great. I wonder if this means mainline Pokemon on the big screen + handheld when you are not home.
Wall Street Journal? As credible as it gets. While they do misinterpret some facts once in a while, the sources are legit. How credible is the source? "Industry Leading Chips" although covering a wide range of devices to imply they will be the high end which is exciting.
Well ... the dev kits should really in the ballpark of the power Nintendo targets with the consumer version ... anything else would really be pointless.meh, call me back in a couple of years when devs actually know what tech they're dealing with
Suggest it should.
None of those titles are confirmed, or even rumored, it's just want some journalistic outlets are hoping for.

Iwata said it's not going to be a hybrid and Kimishima/Miyamoto said that they're going to push forth with Iwata's vision.

I don't think it's impossible, but Nintendo has always seemed a tad reluctant to do an outright TV-out handheld in the past, and with NX looking like it's going to be largely playing the same games on either device, there's even less reason to do that. It's not outside the realm of possibility, but it's doubtful.
A Nintendo spokeswoman said the company plans to disclose details of NX next year.
they have already pretty much said yes, see aboveSo do you guys think we will be getting a reveal at e3 next year?
Oh okay so why is the Devkit for both?

This is not going to stop critisism, I believe it's a matter of time: while Nintendo continues launching their console one or two years before MS and Sony, developers will left Nintendo behind again. You can launch a console with leading specs, but two years later they will be standard. Hence, developers will prefer a bigger marked conditioned by the specs shared by MS and Sony that will be ahead Nintendo specs, like every damn time this happened in the past...
