Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer #3

It'd be pretty lame if they're just being mind controlled.

I hope they don't
play the scepter card again. I think it's enough to say that the twins are grateful to Ultron for freeing them, there being obvious parallels Ultron could draw between the twins and him. Then they see what Ultron is actually selling and they go ballistic and flip to the Avengers. You don't need mind control to make that believable.

I agree but they went out of their way at the end of Winter Soldier to show
The scepter
and you can also clearly see Stark holding it in this trailer. There is a reason they are showing it. It will come up one way or another and be involved with the plot. Though it may have nothing to do with
mind control

Regarding the twins and Ultron
I thought it'd been stated that initially the twins are betrayed in some way by the rest of the world, and Ultron's initial sales pitch is about destroying only the corruption. It's later that Ultron becomes so frustrated he decides to wipe the slate clean.

That's actually a better idea that he doesn't start off completely genocidal and gives the twins a motive to switch sides.

In this scene, it looks like
Cap tries to save someone and fails. Along with "I'm tired of watching people pay for our mistakes." Although, dunno if that's an issue with a flying Iron Man around.

They showed
the scepter
because that's how they
created the twins. Isn't there an official comic that is about the twins volunteering to have the scepters power used on them?

I believe
the scepter is what gives them superpowers, but beyond that they are all free will.

Being held captive by evil humans, experimented on and knowing all the people you knew died from the very same experiments that give you powers tend to give people a lot of trust issues

So Black Widow and Bruce Banner, well I hope they know what they are doing

Well, we can't be sure isn't just one of Wanda's mindfuckery yet.

I've always liked the theory that the
scepter was reverse engineered by Hydra to give the twins super powers. It would certainly explain Scarlet Witch's powers, though I have no idea how it makes sense for Quicksilver if true.

After watching this I seriously can't imagine how big can the infinity wars movies be. I mean, this is huge and awesome and... I don't know if my brain can handle the Ragnarok, the Civil war and then Thanos plus the Guardians plus Spidey. What the fuck Marvel.

I wouldn't want to be a DC exec now, that's for sure.

I have two options.

- Stay on campus & watch the double-feature with my girlfriend
- Go back to Houston & watch the double-feature with my little brother (we've seen every MCU movie together in theaters)

Which one should I choose?

Watch it with your brother man. Keep the tradition going.

Your bro man.

Gotta uphold that MCU tradition

Brother, mos def. Don't break the chain.

Also, for people who argue that every Marvel movie looks the same, this doesn't help disprove that in any way.

That scene with
Cap, Thor, and Iron Man standing opposite Ultron, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver on a bridge in a factory
mirrors the scene where Cap and Bucky stand opposite Red Skull and Arnim Zola on a bridge in a factory.

The thing is that I'm taking him opening weekend no matter what, it's just a matter of if I want to come home quickly to take him opening night (which is something we've only done recently for Winter Soldier & Guardians).

Then again, every MCU movie we went to was our first time watching the movie in question.

Can't you bring your girlfriend home and the three of you go see it in Houston?

Did you see the rest of the films on opening night? Or did you wait a day or two for some?

If all of them have been opening day then I'd say keep that going, if not then yeah it doesn't really matter.

These trailers have done absolutely nothing for me. Don't like the muted color palette. Don't like the robot villain. Everything just feels so been there done that.
