I didn't think it could be possible, but WoD just might be worse than Cata. Hoping the next expansion gets rid of garrisons and adds some meat to its bones. Also, new races and/or class would be nice.
Right but alive world and social interaction aren't the same thing.
Oh this nonsense. Also, have you tried the mythic dungeons in WoD?If only they can bring back the game to BC times. Remove stupid raid finder, bring back challenging heroics, require attunement, don't give me epics for no damn reason, make the game worthy to play again not this bs it has become where you do a simple quest line and you get gear just handed to you or afk in raid finder and get gear just given to you. Nobody likes this shit blizzard have you not noticed it?
There's a better chance at social interaction when you actually see people to interact with, though.
I think every expansion feels different but not as good as vanilla. Wish I could put my finger on what it is.

But yeah, garrisons better be blasted into space. I hated them in WoD. They felt like a cheap housing solution, but didn't work out.
I never played this expansion but i always wonder how does that work? Are garrisons like an instance? Is the garrison at the same place for every player? I imagine that it's impossible for every single player to have his own buildings somewhere on the map, right? But yeah, garrisons better be blasted into space. I hated them in WoD. Again? Give us Diablo stuff Blizzard ffs
How are your Challenge Mode Dungeon, Mythic Dungeon and Mythic Raid progression coming along?
Stop letting Metzen write your games, Blizzard. Your other issues have deeper roots, but this one's an easy fix. He's only getting worse with time.
This will never return, alas. The casuals would scream. Now everyone can easily obtain epic items so they are not "epic" anymore. Going to end game raids is also easier since they are not 40 man anymore. Everyone has impressive epic mounts. Everyone looks fancy. Everyone is a hero.
I remember a few people in Vanilla were so well known because they were leaders in end game raid guilds and had done and seen things that were impossible to others with smaller or no guilds. These guys were like heroes, everyone using "salute" emotes when they were nearby..
In an interview I read they said they liked the idea of Garrisons (the whole f2p town login thingy), but that they might not literally be Garrisons next time.
Not sure if their opinion has changed since.

O you mean the same thing every week just increased difficulty? They are great... Every xpac since BC has has a reduced number of instances, easy welfare epics, and a dumb pvp zone that nobody likes. They even lost to people crying about no flying so they added that, the game is ridiculous now it's a social game gone single player.
Yes, because it was unique content doing Karazhan farm runs for alts and new guildies every week.
No new class no new skills no new story bosses and awesome cinematics though. One thing I hope they have in the new xpac is a god damn big awesome neutral city. I don't give a fuck about "the war in warcraft" and keeping horde and alliance apart. Shattrath and Dalaran were awesome. Pandaria shrines were just ok and Ashran hubs, like Ashan itself, are dogshit.
They are, it's called 2.3 and it's gonna be god damn awesome.

WoD sucked. God, I never thought I missed MoP until WoD sucked out all the fun and went through class design with a chainsaw.
fuck garrisons.
Don't compare these raids to the goat please
EDIT: I get your point, but hell, Karazhan was always fun because Karazhan
To me Garrisons seemed like a an attempt to make a MMORPG less reliant on other people... and more like just an RPG.
Want herbs? Well buy them from another play.... jk garden
Want ore? Well buy them another pla... jk mine
etc etc
Get gear from your missions
Get resources from your missions
Get gold from your missions
I have enough gold to pay for my wow sub for the forseeable future, and I promise a good chunk of it is just from garrison missions.
Note how this plays out. They have what they were told to expect, what they want, and what they demand and GET those things, but they're not happy. But, people like this can still talk like the elitists of old when the idea of that being taken away comes up just like the flying removal earlier in the year and it doesn't matter because they're out the door with what they want anyways same as if they weren't given what they want.
Love the moaning of how "easy" WoW is now, but when you offer the hard parts of it, people aren't interested for some reason or another. Like casual players getting some gear with a purple name offends them so much.
You see this mount?

There is one model of these in the entire game, no recolors, no casual versions, nothing. Do you know how many people in the entire world have this mount? 50.
Don't pretend you can't still be a special snowflake in WoW if you want.

It is cosmetic. It doesn't make the person who has it more powerful. Cosmetic is cool and they should have cosmetic reward, but people want to be better. There is one model of these in the entire game, no recolors, no casual versions, nothing. Don't worry my friend, I'm sure that will be on the black market auction house soon enough so anyone with max money can buy one as well. Certainly happened with the Mimi Head and Invincible mounts of Wrath...

This couldn't be more on point. Exactly my experience with both (though I was always fairly hyped for Mists). MoP was a great expansion in the end save for the content drought at the very end. Warlords on the other hand has been on a downward trajectory after the initial leveling.Draenor was basically reverse Pandaria.
Pandaria received tons of negative reactions at reveal, wasn't hyped at all and was disliked upon release because of the daily quest grind. However the expansion turned out to be stellar, packed with content for every style of play with a pretty interesting storyline.
On the other, majority loved the direction of WoD, it was the most hyped expansion since WotLK and people loved the game at it's release because of great leveling experience. Beyond that however, it turned out to be terrible.
Definitely rose tinted glasses. Kara is great, but I distinctly remember people commonly being tired of it before Wrath came out.
Someone already tried this. Happened to be wildstar. No one played it. Regardless of how many people cry foul about how much more hardcore it should be the fact is not that many people are hardcore like that anymore. Times are a changing.
My fondest memory is STV around game launch with chat full of people asking for pages. It'll never be like that ever again.
