Video of a group of black people beating a white person for voting Trump is terrible

That's how you educate somebody, by kicking them in the face. I'm sure it won't have the opposite effect and reinforce the man's dodgy views even more so.
 
Bad actions from both sides will only make the the other side justified. This will have enabled a lot of trump supporters to feel justified and support trumps message.

what the fuck is the context for this video? was the man in the car? did he have some kind of trump identifying clothing on? did he say something?

There is no context that doesn't make this wrong, so I'm not sure what the point of asking is.

Shitheads have no shortage of reasons to throw black people under the bus as it is. They do that when they're well behaved, too.
 
I am honestly baffled at any way this man can bring unity. He fucking helped rip America in two during this election, then calls for unity amongst both sides afterwards, like it is something natural. No candidate in living memory pushed so hard against common decency, that is how they managed to keep the country dignified after they were elected. Trump? How? How does he help stop this? This shit won't calm down, it'll fester.

There's a very thick line between being frustrated and anxious, and physically beating someone who cannot fight back.

No, that's just stupid. You're basically giving these people even more confidence. You know what will happen ? This video will go viral, a lot of Trump supporters will be like "We were right, now things will change".

I don't know if this guy was a racist or not, but I doubt this will make him change his mind at all.

So the solution for people voting in a democracy in a way that you don't like is to get mad, insult, and beat up the people who disagree with you? I'm sure that will get them to change their minds.

No, but I know enough youth to know kids have always jumped people they feel have disrespected them. Trump isnt some new phenomenon for this. I've seen kids jump an old man for stepping on one of their shoes. To think Trump is the reason for testosterone fueled rage is simply not understanding human nature.
 
(Without anything to support it) I will assume the guy drove through a predominantly black neighborhood, crashed with someone, then people noticed his Trump bumper stickers.

Trump defienitely could've been a catalyst but your point that the transgression could've been more arbitray and personal in another way is reasonable.
 
This video cuts off early. Theres a longer version where he appears to get stuck in the driver side door and one of them drives off dragging him away. Can people just stop being fucking stupid?

Get real. They aren't trying to make someone change their mind. They're lashing out. How do you think fear and anxiety is supposed to work?
 
Don't let these people represent those who are disappointed (and even angry) at the election result. And if I may, I can't imagine ANY scenario where the treatment here can be justified.

With most people? In a way that doesn't result in physical violence towards other human beings. This is a disgusting thing to do regardless of how "scared and anxious" a person is.
 
The American society is broken.

I blame the two-party system which lack the ability of pulling out compromises and a visible and nuanced opposition - everything is just black and white (no pun).

I'm happy to live in a country with a parliamentary system.
 
Context would be good to put things into perspective, although can't think of too many scenarios where ganging up on someone and beating him up woud be a warranted action. Hard-to-watch video honestly. These people are clearly out of their minds and should face full responsibility. The guy they beat is rather unlikely to change his stance towards Trump the way that went.
