Probably a PC portable.
Doesn't make senseMaybe Switch 2 will come in 2 skus - LCD for $399US and OLED for $499US
JFC, another one.LCD so that's probably Nintendo so they can resell the same outdated console a few years afterwards with an OLED screen.
This. 720p vs 1080p on a handheld is the same as 1440p vs 4K on TV. 1440p is good enough if we consider performance.I want that OLED Nintendo..
JFC, another one.
People have posted in this very thread why LCD might be a better choice than OLED.
People like you just grasp into terms and demand everything have it, ignoring issues, in this case, like burn-in, colour accuracy, brightness, and response time, among others.
I want that OLED Nintendo..
Mini led wouldn't be terrible
Why no OLED?
Trash Hardware
That means the next-gen Switch will go back to an LCD display? Come on Nintendo, I want to early adopt your system, but gives us OLED at launch please.
Nope, it's either Nintendo (hopefully not lol since I don't want to downgrade from OLED screen to LCD) or that remote play portable console coming from Sony.
Lcd in 2023 when vita had an oled in 2012. Just goes to show how far the standards have fallen.
Uhm... And people in this thread want an OLED. So..Not buying anything with a LCD screen in 2023/2024.
OLED or bust nintendo.
Uhm...
Seems you're doing what you're claimingIgnorance is bliss, eh?
Seems you're doing what you're claiming
*People in this thread expressed why LCD could be better than OLED*People have quite literally spelt out why:
a) something other than OLED might be a better choice
b) that just because a display assembly uses LCD, doesn't mean it can't also use OLED
Sorry, but yes, you are the ignorant one.
Yeah they're releasing/released the firsts ROKU OLED tvs in the states in springDoe Sharp even make OLED?
It's so weird, a properly tuned mini led would be great for a handheld. I love OLED but eh, it's not something to lose your shit over lol.Uhm... And people in this thread want an OLED. So..
I agree, anyhow, if it's nintendo, they'll use it to boost their sales once again and we'll end up getting itIt's so weird, a properly tuned mini led would be great for a handheld. I love OLED but eh, it's not something to lose your shit over lol.
Don't you worry, they've got that OLED variant planned for the second iteration, New Nintendo Switch 2, in 2028.
I want that OLED Nintendo..
No fucking LCD in 2024 please.
Yeah, a big firm called them and said 'what the fuck are you doing'. That means whatever it's for is still a secret, and whoever is making it is big enough to throw some weight around. The fact they went to the trouble of deleting it from (ie literally removing and republishing) their earnings presentation suggests it probably is the Switch (or something similarly secretive). If it was just some relatively non-exciting device (like any number of the handheld gaming PC things) they'd just leave it as is.

Sharp doesn't make them, they're buying the panels from LG or Samsung.Yeah they're releasing/released the firsts ROKU OLED tvs in the states in spring
a new ps vita??
But I want Switch 2SteamDeck 2 maybe?
They won't make extra $$$$ down the road if they release an OLED version at launch. That means the next-gen Switch will go back to an LCD display? Come on Nintendo, I want to early adopt your system, but gives us OLED at launch please.
I thought the amazing Steam Deck came with an LCD screen, that does not seem to get many complaints on here... then again neither does it's 720p screen.ew LCD? What is this? The 90s?
