How many devices to you have Microsoft making or attached to the Xbox name? You seem to think there will be an unlimited number of OEMs and MS are also going to be doing at least three SKUs on their own. Or, will every AMD be considered an Xbox now? Every Windows PC? Just curious what the expectations are.
Not every device running AMD. But every device running Magnus, the CPU SOC paired up with any of the 5 GPU dies is an Xbox device, should have full BC and FC theoretically. Jez said OEMs are doing both the Super Premium and Cheaper consoles than MS first party.
AT0 - xCloud, done by MS, and discrete AMD flagship GPU
AT1 - if it isn't scrapped, Xbox PCs by pretty much all 5 major OEMs, and discrete gpu as well
AT2 - Xbox Premium Console, done by MS, and higher spec Elite consoles (storage, ram) done by atleast Asus, maybe Lenovo too (would sell better in china), could even get Samsung on board for Asia regions. Could be used in Xbox PCs or just regular PCs (if AT1 is scrapped) or discrete graphics as well.
AT3 - for laptops, I am hoping MS does Surface gaming laptop. All major OEMs will do Laptops with it, even if not Magnus powered. Can also be used for a cheaper Console by MS or Asus
AT4 - Handhelds by Asus, Lenovo, MSI for sure, those handhelds also act as entry point consoles. Asus could do a Console with it too.
I expect Asus and Samsung partnerships to be the strongest. Dell and HP are playing a wait and see game. Acer likely wants to get on board. Every OEM has their own gaming brand.
To answer your question, 4 form factors by OEMs, PCs, Laptops, Consoles, Handhelds. One SKU of PC, one SKU of Laptop, two SKUs of Handhelds, two SKUs of Consoles by whichever OEM wants to get involved. So 6 sets of devices for the full portfolio.
