Yea.

They dont know when to walk away from a character and let their story be.
I'm fine with cameos like with daredevil in no way home.
But the ending was perfect and left it on a sad but optimistic note.

Scorpion, Punisher, Dare Devil, The Hand, Kingpin, etc. No world ending cosmic threats … just Spider-Man handling the ramifications of the previous film, adjusting to his new life, and trying to save his city.

It seemed pretty low stakes for me. That's not necessarily a bad thing of course, just that it felt more like a movie #1 in a series rather than #4.

Commit to your previous story and move it forward. Above anyone, Spiderman doesn't need a connected cinematic universe. It has everything it needs in terms of characters and setting to make any movie it wants to. Instead its dipping into the MCU grab bag for more Banner (but no hulk ) and looks to be cucking The Punisher while its at it.

Sadly I think that's what this trailer is implying.

I say 'sadly' because Man-Spider was my least favorite arc.
