It's time for another look at the future of gaming – Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will air on Sunday, June 7, starting at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK time. It will be followed immediately by a deep-dive into the return of one of Xbox's most legendary franchises in the form of Gears of War: E-Day Direct.

We'll begin the day with our annual Xbox Games Showcase, including first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles from our first-party studios across the Xbox family, as well as our third-party partners around the globe – from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings.

Immediately following Showcase, we'll go even deeper on one of the games coming later this year, directly from the team behind the Gears franchise, The Coalition Studio. Gears of War: E-Day Direct will take players into the start of Emergence Day, offering new details, gameplay and insights about the hugely anticipated origin story to the Gears of War saga.

To help celebrate the Xbox 25th anniversary, we're excited to bring back Xbox FanFest at Showcase. This year's experience will include a look back at the last 25 years, alongside a forward view of what's next. Enter for your chance to win free tickets to attend here: https://www.xbox.com/fanfest (No purchase necessary. Open to legal U.S. residents 18+. Ends 4/12/26. Official Rules).

You'll be able to enjoy our June 7 double feature through a variety of outlets, in over 40 languages, as well as American Sign Language, British Sign Language and English Audio Descriptions. These include (but won't be limited to):

Hopefully a better look at Fable.

Contrary to the general consensus on here, aside from some nice looking graphics I thought it looked rough. Really bad combat and just lots of slow walking forward in its last showing.

Fingers crossed they come good on all that big talk earlier in the year.

Xbox needs an "undo" button for the last few years

There are some decisions that they made that are clearly to affect bottom line financials. And those have all been at the cost of the consumer. I bet their internal targets were getting impossible to meet, and a change was demanded by the board.

Yep. Really stupid to make decisions that removes incentives for folks to engage with your products and services. Rewards, for example, was an easy way to keep folks interested in the Xbox ecosystem. Taking away points for game pass (and forcing gift cards) didn't make any sense. That sounds like a CFO decision.

I bet they crunched number and said we are losing X dollars with rewards GP, We need to recapture those dollars on GP.

Don't they have already one this month ? Or did it already happen ?

Third party only half hour stream.

This is the big annual "E3" level showcase, usually 90 mins followed by a 30 min dedicated Direct for one upcoming big game (this year it's Gears).

Meanwhile, lucky to get 8 hours' notice on a Nintendo Direct. And Nintendo wonders why there is a demand for leaks.

Hopefully there will be some cool things, and hopefully they still come to PC. Because at this rate, with the pricing of everything, the last thing I'm gonna do is buy a new console for 1 or 2 exclusives.

"Sunday, June 7 is locked in."

fuck... im so tired of the way AI writes. can't she be human for a single tweet?

There's nothing unnatural in the way that was written. Perhaps more education?

It'll be all about "this is a pc", it's like an xbox, but has steam and windows.

'Games showcase'.

All their games comes to PC day one. That's never changing. Even more so now their next gen console will run Windows.

Big live events usually mean big reveals, we might see Helix sooner than I expected (year's end).

But it will not be right seeing anyone else in his place :(

Looking forward to it. Would love for Xbox to wow me again.

But honestly, I don't think Phil Spencer had the energy for all this anymore. The last few years have worn that man down, I think. Good they have some who bring some energy to Xbox. It is desperately needed.

That's always been the case and I figured as much. With how these days have been, I guess I was leaning into more, "Shit, you never know", lol.
