PC no longer means "Personal Computer" to Sony it's now "Portable Console"

Receipts? Come on, proof they are an annoyance to SonyNixxes is a annoyance to Sony. I hope its abolish or restructured. Thats why Nintendo is the goat. They dont have unnecessary type of team and department to port exclusives to pc.
Schrierer said this Sony was backing away from PC ports of single player, but not live service. Obviously there has been some realignment internally at PS studios. My guess is whatever ports do happen, Nixxes will be the one handling them so other studios can focus on PS consoles.
"Jason: I mean, I think for them, their strategy is like, live service games are coming to PC. But I think the sense I'm getting is that they're backing away from putting their exclusive console stuff like traditional single-player stuff on PC."
If Sony is moving away from PC ports, then they don't need Nixxes anymore. Probably would be fine selling them off, or turning them independent.
Fanboys extreme! You would suck Sony if you could would you?
Exactly, what if Schreier just had the info slightly incorrect and the word from Sony is no first party studio other than Nixxes is porting games to PC? So single player games could still come to PC but only if Nixxes is doing that port. It's a get out of jail free card for Schreier if that is the case or that would be his excuse at least.Schrierer said this Sony was backing away from PC ports of single player, but not live service. It's okay when Valve does it!Notice how PC gamers never ask Valve to port Counter-Strike, Deadlock, Half Life: Alyx, or Dota to PlayStation, yet Sony is expected to port all its games to PC.
Does using words like 'I think' and 'the sense I'm getting' sound like someone that is 100% confident in what they claim is true?
Not according to Jason.
Does Sony need Nixxes to port live service games and his wording But I think the sense I'm getting is that they're backing away from putting their exclusive console stuff like traditional single-player stuff on PC is not a "take it to the bank" type of statement in my eyesSchrierer said this Sony was backing away from PC ports of single player, but not live service. Playstation fanboys care about PC ports far more than PC gamers themselves.
You know damn good and well he doesn't have shit for receipts, knowledge, or just intelligence or thoughts in general. Just another hateful idiot yelling about his toys online and hoping people lose their jobs over platform sovereignty.Receipts? Come on, proof they are an annoyance to Sony
Without a doubt he has heard something but also with his wording means he can't be wrong no matter what happens unless its specifically a Saros portSure.....if his info is wrong then anything is possible.
Hedging his bets, sure. But Jason isn't one to just say something like that willy nilly without there being something concrete behind it.
As I pointed out above, he is more adamant about it in his bluesky posts.
Ehem 3 years of peanut pc sales.Receipts? Come on, proof they are an annoyance to Sony

With that in mind, I asked Saros director Gregory Louden, flat out, if there are any plans for the game to come to PC. He's a director at a PlayStation first-party studio, so I wasn't surprised when his presumed media training kicked in for his answer: "Today we're only talking about Saros and the launch on the PlayStation 5."

So far, Jason is wrong on the thing he was 'adamant' about. The Saros director hasn't come out and said no and hasn't said yes. They want everyone to buy the PS5 version, which is to be expected. Like Rockstar with GTA6 they want that double dip money.
Ther are other uses for nixxes though. If Sony is moving away from PC ports, then they don't need Nixxes anymore. Probably would be fine selling them off, or turning them independent.
Too bad Sony doesn't have strong exclusives.Valve is slowly encroaching on Sony's territory with the Steam Machine 2 and Steam Deck 2. For this exact reason, Sony will no longer port single-player games to PC. Xbox Helix is coming too, and keeping PC ports would just devalue their consoles.
Next year, the PS6 and a handheld are launching, which makes strong exclusives more critical than ever. You can't promote your own devices while giving your exclusives to competitors. Sony knows exactly what's at stake.
Notice how PC gamers never ask Valve to port Counter-Strike, Deadlock, Half Life: Alyx, or Dota to PlayStation, yet Sony is expected to port all its games to PC.

what gaas ports, Sony is moving away from those too. Fairgame% is almost definitely getting axed and hell I'm not sure the Horizon game is going to make the finished line.Ther are other uses for nixxes though.
The obvious one is gaas ports to pc, we already know they help other sony studios also they could i suppose be used to port ps exclusives to the ps handheld.

Housemarque On If There Are Any Plans To Bring Saros To PC, Like Returnal
You know we had to ask.gameinformer.com
We don't know the extent of that though. They will probably wind down from the absurd levels of gaas investment they had before the string of failures, but don't think they said they are completley done with gaas.Sony is moving away from those too.

How many fucking threads are we going to have on this topic?
What? Not confirming or denying anything doesn't prove Jason wrong my man.
How is jason wrong here?
Director didn't confirm anything, your reaching.
Thanks, I've actually forgotten about this (even though I've used it multiple times in the past)They can all disappear if you want

Hey says "or maybe when housemarque starts doing press"The Blue sky post where you say he's adamant, he specifically says "when Housemarque starts doing press for Saros and someone asks if they have plans to bring it to PC and they say no". Well... the director has not come out and say no. Isn't he then wrong about that?
Its for gaaaaaasThis was posted on twitter, but went and verified myself.
Here is a screenshot from internet archive of the Nixxes section of page from March 6,

No more than you would suck NvidiaFanboys extreme! You would suck Sony if you could would you?
This makes absolutely no sense. Why would primarily PC gamers ask for a game on PC to be ported to a platform they may not play? What is the motive? It's okay when Valve does it!

No. That was speculation as to how/when it would be revealed. He also said it could be during an investor call.
You can debate this endlessly, but in the end the only thing that really helps is waiting and seeing. Sony is most likely not going to come out and say "That's it, no more PC games." But there's probably some truth to the rumors, so i have no doubt that Sony has put everything on hold for now. But I don't think it's because they're worried about their brand, or disappointed with the Pc sales or trying to keep their fanboys happy.
I'm convinced they're waiting to see how things develop in the future: Hardware prices, Steam Machines and whatever Microsoft is putting together. And honestly, I think that's a smart move, even though I don't see those as a serious threat.
If I had to bet, i'd say this: 1–2 years after the launch of the PS7, it'll become clear that Steam and Microsoft haven't managed to sell even 10 million units combined. Once Sony has built up a healthy user base of a few dozen million, the single player ports will return.
As soon as AMD is better I would jump ship I only go for the bestNo more than you would suck Nvidia
