I think you are referencing Tech Jacket? They must have figured out a deal to use the rights/likeness of that iron man/megman guy who was a cameo last season because he has way more scenes here.
Wild Cards done in this style (gritty snimation) would be AMAZING. How that 80's series, with GRRM as well as others involved, hasn't been made is beyond me. All these "adult superhero tales" owe it to WC.I'm in. I love that the show isn't taking the piss out of comic cliches like the print series. Feels like a whole new thing!
Completely unrelated, but in humans the small intestine is roughly 15 to 22 feet (4.5 to 7 meters) long, while the large intestine is much shorter at approximately 5 feet (1.5 meters).A friendly word of advice: don't eat a big meal before watching episode 5. I am not normally squeamish about gore in television, but the end of this one was hard to watch.
Agreed about them doing that sex joke a couple times too many, but disagree on the 4th ep. As someone who's never read the comics I have always been interested about Damien and his backstory, where he's from, "hell", etc. We got a lot of deep lore in that ep about how it goes back several civilizations, how the underrealm works, their morality. And the fight scenes and characters were pretty cool too.The first 3 episodes were good, but the 4th was a turd. Some of the overly millennial type writing is getting on my nerves though like repeating the same joke over and over, hearing people have sex constantly, and garbage like the helmet conversation in episode 4.
I guess it's Seth Rogen's influenceThe first 3 episodes were good, but the 4th was a turd. Some of the overly millennial type writing is getting on my nerves though like repeating the same joke over and over, hearing people have sex constantly, and garbage like the helmet conversation in episode 4.
The problem is doing all that stuff to the character that will not die![]()
Excellent ep across the board.
At the beginning, it was really difficult for me to get into because of the horrible animation... it was almost on the '80s He-man levels. Then I stopped caring and just enjoyedSee they still can't be arsed to spend more budget on animation.
They are setting up a love angle with Oliver. I don't know how many seasons Invisible will get but I can't imagine Oliver's story ending the same as the comics. Why is Tech Jacket needlessly gender swapped into a woman now, oh right it's still an adaptation written by modern writers![]()
Was Olivers planet wiped out? 'Cause it seems like Viltrumites can breed with his insect race and get a preeeetty viltrumite looking offspring, and they grow super fast, so it would seem like the solution to the vultrimite problem is right there, so I"\'m not sure why no one seems to give a shit about Oliver. And you'd think Conquest would show up to Earth, see Mark as a shining example of human/vultrimite breeding, and report that back. So the whole "we need women!" angle seems really poorly thought out as we are 2 for 2 for vultrimite DNA winning over the other race. They are setting up a love angle with Oliver. I mean…the character was doing certain feats beyond any other individual, even Conquest, who everyone in and outside of the show keeps saying was the second strongest character who lived (up until this point).yeah thragg is on some other shit, it's like he's the "broly" of the viltrumites with how much he gaps the rest; dope episode though I was hoping from some more out of battle beast, guy barely got a lick in.
Freddy Mercury aura farming for straight up 30 minutes holy shit
What does it matter? They lie up for a week to heal and then its right back to "charge right at him and punch punch punch punch". I don't think Mark fights with a single bit of difference from his first fight to his last. The total lack of ANY thought towards a Vultrumite martial art style is the biggest failing of this series. In comic form it's probably less glaring but in animation...sheesh. No real attempt to use weapons (surely a tungsten or depleted uranium hand spike would punch through, or make it a neutron star spike, sure why not?), no attempt to fight against anatomy, how does choking a guy so he can't breathe (despite flying around in space for HOURS) make ANY sense when he can eviscerate you? Do they not have windpipes, hyoid cartilage, blood vessels to the brain? It wouldn't bother me as much if the fighting didn't take up so much screen time and if they didn't RELISH in the gore of beating each other to a pulp. Or I'm just spoiled by anime that do have distinct fighting styles and tactical battles where you can see the characters THINK instead of just "punch HARDER 'cause NOW I'm mad!"![]()
That was some fucking beatdown Thragg handed to Mark and Nolan.

Really? You don't feel even a little bit that Mark is getting totally sabotaged by the decisions to show him just ramming himself into someone else, over and over? Think about the COUNTLESS kung-fu/martial art films where the protagonist has to master complex techniques in order to defeat the big bad, to see that potential legacy thrown away for the "madder i get, the harder I hit" superpower, it's juvenile at best.

Invincible is closer to American comics more than it is to Manga or Martial Arts Films.Think about the COUNTLESS kung-fu/martial art films where the protagonist has to master complex techniques in order to defeat the big bad
Oh, my complaints stretch alllll the way back to the first season, and this is why I don't read a lot of capeshit.Invincible is closer to American comics more than it is to Manga or Martial Arts Films.
I feel like you're searching for a different show or movie entirely and tried to watch Invincible as an answer to your search. Bad idea, that can lead to ranting.
That's just the way the budget went. Although i don't recall the comics looking great either.Never watched the show, but heard of it. Why is the art style so flat and ugly, like cheap 00's flash animation? Its hard to get passed how low quality and cheap it looks.
