Forza Horizon 6 leaked 10 days before launch, premium edition already cracked on PC

The people who pirate it wouldn't have bought it to begin with, OP. CDPR release their highly anticipated PC titles without any DRM on PC, and they seem to be doing fine, and that's offline games. And if the pirated version is without any online functionality, it's basically worthless.
Im getting it just to test how it runs on my laptop(since ill need travel for work soon)
I already have standard preordered. Its pretty lame saying "hurr durr people who pirate dont buy", yet ive seen people downloading crack only to get to play early access version they preloaded early

Hey now, the pirates are just trying to jump in early like Microsoft upselling you to pay $120 to play FH6 4 days earlier artificially.

Not gonna fucking feel bad for them at all, most of these people aren't gonna care enough to ever be paying customers, even though I'm gonna wait to play it legally because fomo isn't a big deal.

I'm surprised that piracy is still happening, especially when you can just play this game through a subscription. In the 90s it was really widespread, considering the relatively small number of games and players back then. But today you're flooded with free games and cheap subscription services. So I think the people who still pirate today would never have bought the game anyway, even if it were uncrackable.

Does pre-loading so far in advance need to be a thing anymore when pretty much everyone has access to high speed internet now?

Maybe a 3 day window of pre loading would
be better

Best thing about piracy is you bypass shitty launchers and online verifications even for sp games which is a modern problem. Itd hadsle free basically.

Where are these everyone who have access to high speed net? Its still an issue in a lot of countries and smaller cities. My familys house in europe cant have ethernet pulled in because theres no infrastucture built for it in area, so people have to deal with 5g internet still

It's Forza in Japan, This will sell fucking 10's of millions, a few brokies getting the ripped copy weren't going to buy it anyways.

I tried again this morning, set up my VPN got a link, set it off downloading and said it would take a day or something, NAH, cba, I bought the premium edition anyway but really hyped for this one so wanted to test it on steam deck.

I dunno man, service wins out again. Screw all the risks if I can just wait 4 days.

This is exactly why PC day1 releases are a bad idea.

The PS5 version needs to arrive fast or Playground Games is in serious trouble 😬

You're a bit delusional if you think this is going to impact sales all that much.

Not releasing day one on PC these days basically cuts you off from 40-60% of your potential sales.

This is why Rockstar release their games much later on PC. Other big publishers should do the same. And even with encryption those games are getting hacked anyways.
They aren't. At least not before day 1. You can't crack if you don't have access to the unencrypted game files. This is on the developers for messing up and releasing unencrypted files out early.

Good, glad the devs have fucked up. I wouldn't even pirate that shite with its awesome, rad festival bollocks and young diverse cast.

Seriously, what the FUCK is pish like that doing in racing games?

You need money to buy Super Chad RXT 5090 and other Master Race stuff

soooo.......... can someone confirm if the steam version still require MS account since it suppose to have cross platforms progression?

Just a few days ago we got a report that Edge does no encrypt passwords and saves them in memory in plain text.
Then we got news that Microsoft stores the user Bitlocker keys in their own servers, and is giving them away to the FBI.
Recall can see everything the user does and store all information, even credit card data, and then be prompted to give it away.
Now they upload a brand new game, days before release, not encrypted.
FFS, why does Microsoft have such a bad policy regarding security. Are people working at Microsoft retarded? Seriously?

Or do what Capcom did and see record growth and profits form embracing the PC platform. Or From. Or Larian. Or a dozen other examples.

Claiming they should skip or delay PC because of piracy is rather silly, when PC makes up such a significant amount of sales these days. What's the justification? Give up 40-60 percent of your sales because a few thousand pirate the games and most would never actually buy a game anyway? That doesn't really make sense.

I can't say I'm happy for sure but I also can't say that I'm not kind of interested because I have had the game pre-ordered for at least a couple of months. But then again I also have pragmata, crimson desert, a fresh switch 2 I just got a month ago, and I just bought crash 4 because it was on sale and steam. Oh and did I mention I'm getting that Yoshi mysterious book game? I'm not hurting for games to play and I didn't pre-order the dumb edition to play 5 days early. I think I'll be alright.

Any pirates saying if it is good or not?
How could the gameplay not be good? But the hip young-people "we're all so happy and open-minded" story and dialogue crap will probably be in there again anyway. You just have to mentally tune that out again, and then you've got the best (open-world) racer on the market.

Lol.
Rockstar know people will double dip and be honest for a lot of people gto is where they play, so you would still need legit version for it. Also theres many other games recently have done great on pc. Game just needs to be optimized and good and people will buy it

I'm really hoping the campaign mode is good this time. I was hoping there might be some feedback on how it is. :)

Comparing games from Rockstar to yet another forza horizon is a choice lol. Rockstar knows they have what is pretty much universally considered the most anticipated game regardless of platform, they know even those people who prefer to sail the sea will want to buy it (cause GTA online). So as a business, R* are being smart for using this leverage to extract as much $$$ out of "early access" console versions before going to PC.

If they uploaded it without encryption then it qualifies as being pre-cracked by the publisher themselves. Pirates did nothing but share what was handed to them on a silver platter.

How this still happens regularly is absolutely unfathomable to me.

Billions of sales lost!

Third party publishers will stop releasing games on PC to make Merline Merline happy.
This will be the straw that breaks the camel's back for MS. The studio will be dissolved and Helix will be the last console they ever put out before going out of business entirely.

Sad times.

Whatever you do, don't got play the crack.

That's the only ban we've seen so far. Not sure what he expected uploading videos of a cracked game and using Cheat Engine on top of that.

Should have at least used a bum Microsoft account and played offline.

I thought piracy didn't hurt sales?
It doesn't. making a shitty game does.

Look at baldies gate 3. Was drm free day one, sold bonkers despite being pirated day one.

Number one on sales chart despite being able to pirate.

From what I understand, there's now a method to play online. Let's see if bans actually start happening en masse.

Ready for the shit show.

As expected. The person who was banned was a modder who posted videos of gameplay up and ended up just getting sniped by ms rep likely. Theres no other evidence of anyone else getting banned

DS2 got leaked like this without drm just recently. Dragons dogma 2 too
That's my point, though. Leaks that were 2+ weeks out like this were common because of the physical supply chain. Seeing devs screw up by uploading drm-free builds is just ridiculous.

I wished they'd just admit they wanna steal and play it for free lol, I'd honestly respect it more than the grandstanding they do. I used to to pirate the hell out of movies and music but you didn't see me acting like I'm Robin Hood.
