Really looking forward to this. I found 5 really boring, both the map and the fact the game just throws cars at you with little progression. They appear to be addressing both of these issues.

Haven't been into a driving game since GT7 so well overdue.

Finally found a reliable method to play on my 55 inch while my PC is upstairs. Can't wait to race on a big screen

Wait, premium has early access? I thought the last game on Game Pass that had early access wasn't available unless you paid the extra $20-30.


We can change our region on PC and it will unlock just like on console? That's news to me as well.

Yeah you can do the premium upgrade from the gamepass version and it is now unlocked if you travel a little
 
is there any videos showing PC footage with raytracing?

watching some videos and they must be playing on xbox cause it looks awfully washed out.
 
people really buying wheels for a horizon game?

it's just a fun arcade racing game. maybe if it was Motorsport or something more realistic.

i hated how cars handled in the last Horizon game i played. it was awful. i doubt using a wheel is going to make it any better. hopefully they've improved driving in 6.

Moreso timing for me, the whole thing got marked down $250 from MSRP, and wanted to upgrade to a direct drive wheel from my older one.

Forza Horizon 5 got better wheel support/handling vs previous games (after tweaking settings), and Motorsport improved on that, so I'm expecting it to be nice. It's not like Horizon games are Need for Speed, it's still a simcade unless you turn all the assists on.

Dirty Rally 2.0, Project Cars 2, Snowrunner, Grid Legends, F1 25 and Gran Turismo 7 have already made it feel worth it.

I was going to wait for the Standard Edition but the Premium Edition is looking tasty right now. Didnt realize you got both expansions with it, thought it was just basically paying to play a few days early.

Speaking of the expansions, i wonder what they could do. I would guess they would be Japan influenced expansions.

I snagged the Premium Upgrade thingy as I already have GP-Ultimate for many months into the future, and because I like to do questionable things with my money.

Anyhoo, Looking forward to firing it up tonight @ 11pm CST! Game looks amazing, and from the reviews it sounds like they made a lot of improvements on the FH formula.
 
Im so ready to not go out for a couple of days! My Moza R5 bundle and brake pedal perfomance upgrade kit will also be delivered tomorrow, lets go!

Man for some reason I thought the prem edit unlocked today and I sit down to my PC and oh my what a wave of disappointment after I rushed to get things early so I can just game all day and see it is actually tomorrow.
I didn't believe steam and even restarted it at first lol

I'm hyped.

Starting to wonder if it's worth buying on Steam when it's cheaper on Xbox (PC) via sites, I'd be able to play right now, and potentially play on a future Xbox console if I ever end up with one.

Steam is Steam though.

Steam still requires a MS account to play, however, every experience i had with the MS store has been absolutely miserable so i advise caution.
 
Some may think that the game doesn't drift into the (Tokyo) drift culture of Japan or how that form of driving is big there.....that may be the case, and it could have been quite the USP, but there's always room for a DLC to address that in the future like the DLCs they did for Horizon 5

True, it's at least double what the FH5 premium upgrade cost but the expansions are typically worth it. I certainly don't need the early access, I wouldn't be able to play until this weekend anyway.

I haven't had any issues with Xbox store so just get it wherever is cheapest and makes the most sense.
 
I haven't played one of the Horizon games since Horizon 3...and I don't know, even though it's in Tokyo which I should be excited about, I still don't care. I had a lot of fun with Horizon 3 though...maybe it was just a time and place thing.
 
I might hold off until the Standard Edition launches in 4 days. I love the Horizon games, but I'm a little tight on money and don't have the time at the moment. Will be following the thread until launch to see what you Premium guys think of it.
 
It's like paying full price for something I'll play maybe a couple hours and drop. I got Driveclub and GT7. GT7 I swore I was going to race everyday. I managed to get a high power sports car, nothing my else felt faster, and then I dropped it.

Having gamepass for years now has thought me that most games out there are absolutely not worth buying at full price… or at any price really

Have you played the previous games? FH 4 and 5 I got about 50hrs out of them each before I fell off. I usually come back for bit with the expansions. Burnout Paradise is really the only other racer I put that much time into since FM3 or NFS Hot Pursuit 2. GT7 I maybe have 8hrs. I guess I'm just more into arcade racers.
