For some reason, WWE is still big and popular and therefore a good advertising platform for Microsoft. Personally, i think the product has been bad for at least 10 years now and Roman Reigns sucks.Whats with the weird Gears and wrestling connection.

Marketing once i understand but Microsoft have been drawing the connection for a long time now, wrestling and gears are linked in their minds. For some reason, WWE is still big and popular and therefore a good advertising platform for Microsoft. Good question. I would guess it's because both feature heavily muscular, tough-looking characters and the marketing teams probably assume the target audiences overlap.Marketing once i understand but Microsoft have been drawing the connection for a long time now, wrestling and gears are linked in their minds.

not really this game is a prequel to everythingWhen this was first announced I was mildy excited, now I am more and more excited.
MS really needs to get the ball rolling on getting Gears 2 and 3 to current systems.
I think putting Gears Reloaded only kinda hurt them.
It's still better than trying a new cast and to reach new modern audiences in Gears 4 and 5.Whats with the weird Gears and wrestling connection.

hasmckmas8808 lost it?
considering his avatar is Colin Moriarty I thought it would have more sense than this.
I dont know why people dislike them so much. I had an absolute blast playing them. To me they were solid games and some of the best exclusives that MS point out under the Phil Spencer era.4 & 5 were mediocre shadows of the OG trilogy. Give me a Michael Bay esque testosterone fuelled bloodbath of a game.
And....what does that have to do with the fact that Reloaded should have been that Marcus Fenix trilogy. Gears 2 and 3 are literally stuck on Xbox exclusive hardware using BC versions.not really this game is a prequel to everything
I'm not saying it should not have been a release of the three pack from the beginningAnd....what does that have to do with the fact that Reloaded should have been that Marcus Fenix trilogy. Gears 2 and 3 are literally stuck on Xbox exclusive hardware using BC versions.
As long as they don't forget Judgment.I'm saying because this is a prequel to everything they can take their time releasing two through five.
Gears 5 act 2 is so good. I could literally taste the winter while playing. Warden is a badass new villain. Not as iconic as Raam because there are many of them, but still truly frightening.I dont know why people dislike them so much. I had an absolute blast playing them. To me they were solid games and some of the best exclusives that MS point out under the Phil Spencer era.
Clearly that is just me and I hope people would explain what they didn't like since I am just confused. They weren't revolutionary, but I felt they were solid fun.
This is specifically a Lucha event, and Mexicans love the OG Gears trilogy.Whats with the weird Gears and wrestling connection.

Fable is an unproven developer in that area being handed a legacy franchise and Halo Remake is a head scratcher to me, but the franchise itself is in the dumps and 343 has been a dumpster fire so they probably needed the good will / get it out there to build confidence. So why have we seen Fable and Halo Remake, but not Gears E-Day?
I think it has more to do with how big of a Hispanic fan base gears has and this wrestling event was for a Lucha libre eventWhats with the weird Gears and wrestling connection.

The Coalition rarely misses and they have nothing to prove by showing the game repeatedly.
We don't need years of trailers stringing us along. We know what Gears is and we know the developer will nail it.
They must be transitioning to marketing one big game at a time or something. Maybe they just don't see the need to market long term anymore when they know most 'sales' come from gamepass subscribers anyway?Years would be crazy. But why not 6-9 months? Only 3 months, seems insane.
This is the prequel right?
Okay, I'm in.

I am not sure, but I for one prefer shorter marketing cycles.
