What does the math say if Bungie adds Kurt Angle to the mix?If Bungie does have layoffs, then the number of devs working on Marathon will go down, not up.
Math for the win!!!!

That's what they did with their gummy bears project. I think they pulled over 30 or 40 people to make it under a new SIE studio.Move them fuckers around internally to help push other projects that are currently in development under the PS Studios branch. Leave a couple of small teams for incubating projects, but man they need to stop with the massive layoffs. At this point they're probably doing this so they can cut the studios spending because Bungie has been such a stain these last few years.
Probably would have been better to make one for the console that exists.Just make a fucking SINGLE PLAYER PS6 EXCLUSIVE game its not fucking rocket science you braindead fucks
I think they just got outbidded to a price they didn't want to pay because MS were too busy with ABK and Bungie wanted to be independent. Phil was even making statements where he was saying the new MS could have kept Bungie. He was interested in having them but I don't think Bungie was interested in ending up back to square one with MS to begin with. Why? It worked. They cashed out. Sony got caught holding the bag. Remember, Destiny was one of Spencer's favorite games and even Xbox walked away when Bungie was putting feelers out there for sale because they said the price didn't match the books.
Let's walk through this my boy.If Bungie does have layoffs, then the number of devs working on Marathon will go down, not up.

Nope. They got some fat they definitely need to cut that are next to useless. Even less than useless since they have to hire an additional person to cover for their uselessness.Move them fuckers around internally to help push other projects that are currently in development under the PS Studios branch. You're talking more about overvaluation. Why? It worked. They cashed out. Sony got caught holding the bag. Remember, Destiny was one of Spencer's favorite games and even Xbox walked away when Bungie was putting feelers out there for sale because they said the price didn't match the books.
Bungie may have never made any real money the whole Destiny life cycle. They just kicked the can with new side deals as they went along. They then spread out before the sale at the end of Covid and we saw what happened from there. Sony and the fans who put up with the devs who "were listening" failure after failure. Eventually the fanbase got tired of it and they put just enough to close out Destiny with the final shape before imploding.
The funny thing is I even like Marathon, but I have seen enough to understand anyone's dislike or disdain for the studio from years worth of BS. Bungie has run out of rope it seems for most. Marathon is the last hope it seems.
Bungie was a great house once and this is legit disappointing
Don't forget all the time spent on knitting and cooking classes.THEY ONLY WORKED ON MARATHON AND DLCs ALL THIS TIME?
what the actual fuck?
is anyone out there still not fully convinced at this point that AAA game development is just completely fucked?
Ya. It's called Unemployment Line Simulator: Beat the Rush 8:00 am Edition. They said they are working on their next games though...
Let's go Faigame$, you're next.

This is like the 3rd round of layoffs at Bungie in the past 1-2 years. At this point it's all fat, no meat except for that team they branched off into a PS Studio.Nope. They got some fat they definitely need to cut that are next to useless. Even less than useless since they have to hire an additional person to cover for their uselessness.
So get that carving knife out and go HAM!!!
You hit the jackpot.Bungie was better when Activision was forcing them to meet deadlines and actually release new games.
No doubt. What probably happened is Activision saw Bungie has a culture being a country club where they can coast making games under big corporate umbrellas. Activision being a successful game company turning around lots of games making bank, execs from both sides didnt see a good fit.Bungie was better when Activision was forcing them to meet deadlines and actually release new games.
I hope he gets explosive diarrhea too.

This will probably be a very nice post to return to.Let's walk through this my boy.
In April, Tassi said Marathon had a little over 400 employees working on Marathon, which was a little more than what Destiny 2 had.
Bungie can cut 375 Destiny 2 developers, which would not impact Marathon.
Bungie can cut 200 Destiny 2 developers and put +100 onto Marathon while ~75 work on incubation projects.
Sony is a total disaster right now
Intergalactic will decide Hulst's futureSo, will Hulst 'retire' soon like Jimbo and be asked to take out the trash (Bungie) on his way out like Jim was?
Destiny 3 is at least 5 years away if they are even allowed to work on it.
To me this signals that they are giving Marathon 3-6 months and then closing Bungie if it doesn't improve.
Have them work on D3 while they, maybe along awith an external studio, port D1 to PC/modern consoles.

If Sony lays off anyone it should be Hulst
