These handhelds have truly become capable of being full desktop replacements, makes SFF PCs lose some of their appeal to me, as these are more useful and self-powered. Unfortunately, the prices are also very SFF PC-esque as well, the days of getting better and better $319 Steam Deck price reduced handhelds have gone.

I was super happy picking up a Legion Go S Z1E Steam OS for $650 last year. That was considered expensive back then. I was still hesitant to pick it up and I've got a $5,000 PC.

I'm willing to go up to $1,000 for a portable console, if it'll be a major upgrade from what I have. I'm tapping out beyond that.

It does seem like $1,000 is going to be low end going forward

I think the most interesting comparison will be 1% lows. That's where the 32GB make this an actual viable system imo. It's going to age extremely well because of it.
