Masters of The Universe | Official Teaser Trailer

I just got back from an advance screening. I'm also a child of the 80's and still have Castle Grayskull.

I really enjoyed it.
To address some earlier concerns:
Earth segment quite short and has a great payoff.
Some really great and humorous references to the cartoon.
Highly respectful of source material especially relative to most Hollywood adaptions of childhood cartoons.

How do you rate he man against the D&D movie starring chris pine

This movie is predicted to tank harder than the D&D movie.

D&D movie was fantastic, everyone should watch it, a pity

Jared leto in so...flop.

He man is not a product to make a 200million movie.
Had it been made at the right time and modernized tastefully and respectfully it could have worked. Wouldn't be Star Wars, lol, or classic high tier MCU level but probably well enough for a sequel that promptly shits the bed. It doesn't help that we're in a post Revelations/Lesbo She-ra world that's made alot of us weary with engaging new media.

In a personal note, He-Man was absolutely huge for me as a kid and was something that always put a smile on my face to think back to. But after the last fews years of hate and BS it now has a lot of negative baggage I just don't want to engage with anymore.

Heading to see the new Masters Of The Universe film today, thankfully I got the van all sup'd up for the occasion.

Just came back from the cinema and it was actually better than expected. I would agree with the positive reviews from IGN and Polygon. Vibrant, stupid fun wirh a great Soundtrack.
They actually managed to make the hero a nice and empathetic person, without turning him into a self-flagellating victim and nerfing his power(Hello Marvel and Superman). For this, the movie will not get as much credit as it deserves!
