"In order to be a platform, you must have exclusive content and services." -- Asha Sharma.
You were wrong, just accept your L.Despite having a ton of money, MS rarely blocked exclusives that were previously multiplatform games. While this has been how Sony stormed the market, starting with Tomb Raider II and III, and continued to do this years later with, to name only a few, Street Fighter V, Final Fantasy games or Stellar Blade.
Should we start counting every PS exclusive game as a paid exclusive then ?
Everyone does it, you're pretending this is uniquely a Sony thing.Actually I was simply trying to understand the logic of the person I was answering to.
No.Everyone does it, you're pretending this is uniquely a Sony thing.
but it's on switch 2Sony bought the exclusivity so it might never come. They lock shit down for Xbox for as long as possible.
Then quote what I misread, genius. You won't, because you can't.No.
The thing is that you have reading comprehension issues.
First page, Neo Member. Then quote what I misread, genius. You won't, because you can't.
I put the important word in bold to help you.It is yet another case of a game being multiplatform and then being privatized by Sony, whatever the reason.
This. Xbox should be glad not to have this non woke gameHeu... But this game goes against Xbox Dei policy
Wrong. Stellar Blade was passed by MANY publishers, Sony was the ONLY ONE interested. So no, they didnt take away something people were meant to have, THEY ENSURED we got it at all. Fr…First page, Neo Member.

So, to further help you, this means taking away something people previously had or were meant to have.
Nope. It was announced as a multiplatform title initially, so they had already planned for this. Read the topic.Stellar Blade was passed by MANY publishers
I have and its still wrong. It was PLANNED to be a multiplat game but as per Shift Up themselves, ALL PUBLISHERS PASSED until Sony picked it up. So no, Sony did not rob Xbox of a game, THEY ENSURED IT RELEASED AT ALL. So READ yourself and comprehend, let me make it simple for you, No Sony, No game.Nope. It was announced as a multiplatform title initially, so they had already planned for this. Read the topic.
Lol, Microsoft literally bought Bethesda and tried to pull their games from PlayStation. Your definition applies to almost every platform holder, not just Sony. Either you don't understand that, or you're pretending not to.First page, Neo Member.
I put the important word in bold to help you.
So, to further help you, this means taking away something people previously had or were meant to have.
You don't announce a game when you are not confident that you can release it.No Sony, No game
Are we seriously comparing buying studios to paying to block games from being released on the competition ? Should we start counting every acquisition in video-game history as an attempt to block games ? And games weren't even canceled on PS. What a dumb argument.Microsoft literally bought Bethesda
You don't announce a game when you are not confident that you can release it.

- Project Mara
- The Day Before
- Fable Legends
At the time of announcement, they were obviously confident they could deliver the game. This is common sense.Happens all the time.

We're gonna make it, Xbros.Just have enough faith!
Out of despair, he started listing every game that was released on Xbox first, pretending MS had paid for some kind of exclusivity deal.Tales of Vesperia, Mass Effect, Ace Combat 6, BioShock, Splinter Cell Conviction, TitanFall, GTA 4 Episode From Liberty City, Ryse Son of Rome, Infinite Discovery, Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean 4, Dead Rising 3, Lost Planet 1
but, but, Sony...
You are suggesting MS didn't fund or pay for exclusivity for those games and dlc?Out of despair, he started listing every game that was released on Xbox first, pretending MS had paid for some kind of exclusivity deal.
It's up to you to prove it, you listed the games. You are suggesting MS didn't fund or pay for exclusivity for those games and dlc?
We're gonna make it, Xbros.Just have enough faith!
Not my list. But we know Microsoft paid $50 million for the gta 4 dlc ($25 million per episode). It's up to you to prove it, you listed the games.
The PS3 wasn't even released in Europe when Lost Planet and Dead Rising were released on 360 lol. It didn't occur to you that maybe games were released later on PS3 because the console was released later on top of being a bit poop to develop on ?
Oh, so they are going to port it?"We just need time"
I'll buy it again no problem, enjoyed it on PS5, good game
This is an underrated post, lol. <3Is port begging against the law?

Oh, so they are going to port it?
Good! So glad and hopefully Jez can stop throwing around accusations about Sony moneyhatting. Those aren't needed anymore, Xbox has exclusives too and in most cases like this one Sony probably isn't moneyhatting.
Xbox fans(like myself, I like all consoles and PC) must understand the series s parity clause and the lack of MS technical assistance for devs and the userbase size gives Sony a competitive advantage when it comes to getting ports quickly. It does not necessarily mean there was a backroom deal to elbow out Xbox and devs are getting blamed unfairly.
This is an underrated post, lol. <3
Maybe then there would be enough Xbox's in the wild. Possibly expanded into Korea. We just need time for the three year clause to pass......

It's possible that this is the case, but perhaps they announce it when they give the S2 version a concrete release date, just like SE did with FF7R. Not getting my hopes up on that though. We just need time for the three year clause to pass......

Good job, you managed to explain the single game we already knew was an actual paid exclusivity for a multiplat series. It was announced as such and then released 1 year later on PS.Tomb Raider
Same here. We already know that it was paid DLC exclusivity, it was announced as such, and got released 1 year after. Not my list. But we know Microsoft paid $50 million for the gta 4 dlc ($25 million per episode).
Jez is probably busy cleaning the jizz from his room after queen Asha forced Shift Up to port the game with her superpowers. What if something were to happen to our Queen, Jez! Did you think about that?

How about Lost Planet, Bomberman Act Zero, Culdcept and whatever other stuff some of you guys came up with ?
Same here. We already know that it was paid exclusivity, it was announced as such, and got released 1 year after.
How is this comparable to blocking FF VII up to XII for 20 years on Xbox and Nintendo ?
How is it comparable to FF VII Remake being locked for years on PS ?
How is it comparable to FF XVI being locked on PS, and voluntary announced ambiguously as a complete PS console exclusive ?
How is it comparable to having Tomb Raider II which was in active development on Saturn canceled to make it PS1 exclusive ?
How is it comparable to Street Fighter V being a complete PS exclusive while IV was multiplatform and highly successful on other platforms ?
How is it comparable to making Stellar Blade, a game that was announced as multiplatform from the very beginning, going PS exclusive ?
Short answer is : it's not comparable.
Good job, you managed to explain the single game we already knew was an actual paid exclusivity. It was announced as such and then released 1 year later on PS.
Also pretty funny to pick Tomb Raider as a synonym of PS when it started its life on Saturn, until PS privatized the series on PS1 lol.

Yeah, I can see the bad-faith but every once in a while it's fine to line up the facts for everyone to see.You speak sense and anyone in the industry over 35 should know of what you speak, but they won't accept it. Xbox bad, Sony good.
