Incoming, it looks like a PS3 game… The game looks insane.

I dunno if it is a problem on my end, but there is no voice acting during gameplay.
Gameplay itself doesn't feel as tight as the original, and also I wish there was an option to change controls.
Seems like the difficulty has been tuned down. Definitely easier than the original. Maybe the harder difficulty mode is vanilla star fox 64 difficulty?

You can re-map the the buttons on Switch 2 and it'll save your configuration on a per-game basis. But maybe that doesn't work for demos (?), I haven't tried it.

this and Zelda remake art direction were very surprising.
It seems Nintendo finally puts some budget into their games. After MK and Bananza which don't look much different from Switch games, Zelda and Starfox are a very clear generation leap, if not multiple. Glad to see it

Considering that Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza were originally developed for the Switch 1, that doesn't surprise me.

It makes sense that Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Star Fox would be on a completely different level technically.

Here's my question. It's obvious Nintendo is going to continue it's business relationship with Velan. Would you rather see them:

a. Become Nintendo's Bluepoint and remake classic N64/GameCube/3DS games with modern graphics.

b. Shepard the Star Fox franchise and develop a new sequel on their own.

The voice lines are not as fun as in the original. It feels like the actors are holding back to not sound silly. But silly was the reason why the original voices are so memorable and in some cases iconic even.

"He's up to something, don't let your guard down" is nowhere near as funny or memorable as "are you gonna listen to that MONKEY?"

But it's not a net loss so far IMO. After lecturing you to brake and boost to dodge the asteroids, Falco now chimes in with "brake, boost...make up your mind!" which was not on N64 at all.

Kinda intrigued by what other changes there are throughout the game.

Yes game looks incredible, doing a Deep Dive of the Star Fox Franchise on our website and YouTube Channel prior to the games release, then will do a review of the actual game once it launches.
Have avoided the demo as already know its going to be awesome! its based on the Miyamoto game, with better modern graphics and new bits and pieces.. whats not to like.
Been saying for donkeys years that NINTENDO is sitting on a gold mine. Literally do the same they did here for EVERY Nintendo Miyamoto game and they would literally be printing money. His game design is timeless. Game Play really is king.
